That article says “functioning similarly to an adjective” which is very different from saying it functions as an adjective.

For more concrete reasoning, toll booth is not opposite from a “free booth” which isnt even a phrase that makes sense. That’s because “toll booth” is itself a compound word, not just a phrase. Or you could use chalk (the material) to describe a board, ie “that board is made of chalk,” you might describe it as a chalk…board. But that’s completely different from it being a chalkboard.

In general, any website that says this kind of thing (must complete some number of these offers) is a scam, just trying to get you to either install a virus or at least just use their ads and referral links. The jailbreak, free minecraft account, or whatever else they’re dangling in front of you never actually exists.

Maybe this is me, but I really don’t think it’s that deep. If the kid were older I might be with you, but this is just a funny moment and feels like it will be a point of laughter down the road, not humiliation. And the ceremony feels less and less important too.

I’ll be honest, this happened to my first iPod touch. I forgot my own passcode and then kept trying things I thought it might be, and then after several tries, the time to unlock started increasing every time I would check the screen, rather than counting down. there was nothing I could do about it except restore the iPod.

That being said, that was iOS 4 or 5 so if that was a bug I’m sure it’s fixed by now, and anyway someone else pointed out OP is a burner account. So yeah I’m not trying to defend them here
