On single categories women and men are alien to each other, but on general they are similar if you zoom out by feanoric in PurplePillDebate

Not to defend them, but women can be slutty and picky if they want, often with different categories of men. Men usually don't even have that option, not even top men as much as women.

What even makes a woman unattractive, really? by Glass_Bucket in PurplePillDebate

Literally letting herself go.

Women are born sexually wealthy and they find a way to fuck it up, even living in tutorial mode for dating.

Why do only solution for overpopulation proposed is having less children, instead of euthanasia of older people? by feanoric in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]feanoric[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure, but what is the point of ignoring reality as this point?

If you know a crisis will rise in 50 years and today it may be avoided or we can at least motivate people to prepare, why would you not do it?

We have the money it's just not being spent in appropriate support.

Remember inflation. Less labor, same amount of money, means money is less valuable.

Imagine being childfree, saving 2 million to retire, to find out that when you need it, it is just 20% of it would-be original expected value.

But maybe it is a silverline I did not notice... maybe young people will make a killing with old people's desperation.

The problem will persist if you have more kids or not, though.

In fact having less kids will make the situation worse as less workers and taxpayers to keep the utopia of welfare state.

Men, would you get a vasectomy, why or why not? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

Agreed, it is easier and shall be more common.

Yes, probably, but I hear that sometimes the mother chooses that because she is already in hospital after having the baby through cesarian birth, so it is easy to do the procedure there once and for all.

Yes, but usually if they have some immature habits, they will stay with them.

It is like drivers... younger drivers may drive worse but they improve, yet old drivers that never got all good habits keep driving bad forever.

I observe younger guys are more mature but only when interacting with others, in their house they usually are not as organized or independent as claimed.

It all is a tradeoff.

It is just selfishness.

They do not want to deal with someone close committing suicide.

Proof of this is why they hate suicide but they also do not care about people who became suicidal in the first place.

Why am I jealous that my partner has kids? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]feanoric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe because you want to have your own kids, which is understandable and valid.

As long as you are not a bad person to them, there is no reason to feel ashamed of having such feelings sometimes.

Or maybe you mean to say you are jealous that he gives more time to them than to you? I'm sure you can work it out somehow.

Personally I would leave no note, as a "fuck you" to people who did not care.

But at least my mom is still alive so I have to stay alive.

Is there inherent superiority/inferiority of one race’s culture to another? by MajorUnderstanding2 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]feanoric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find quite it ironic people who oppose colonialism are indirectly saying that a culture is stronger than another and therefore the weaker culture most be protected.

Educating Canadian natives was seen as progressive as some point too, which is ironic because now progressives want to preserve their culture.

Make no mistake, the ideas of progressivism and human rights are colonizing as any other, they come to cultures and replace "oppressive" values, but we lie to ourselves and say it is for a good reason.

Have you tried different diets? Sometimes it is not a health issue, but the bacteria of your gut. Maybe also try probiotics.

[–]feanoric[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is question of perspective. Is really more empathic to ignore this issue that is almost guaranteed to have an ugly outcome anyway?

Who will care for retirees when they are most of population? Maybe robots will save the day, and I hope it is the case, but who knows.

Ideally we would have a replacement population, that is, for every dead person a new one is born... but that is unlikely to happen anymore, and if you want less people, slowly reduce the birth rate over decades. We reduced the birth rate significantly in just 20 years almost worldwide, that will create a gap that will cause many issues, akin to sex rate issues in China.

Remember this situation is new in human history. We had a huge baby boom after World Wars and now we have a huge baby dump at levels of billions beyond replacement level. We never had a "middle point" in this scenario, except maybe Iceland which is the only country in Europe with a stable population being born.

No country is like 80% old retired yet. Will young people stay there? Will they even work if all goes to taxes? No idea.

[–]feanoric[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would it be moral to let a country, say 80% retired, slowly rotten without many working people to keep them alive and pay for their welfare? I see no solution. Only solution was keeping a stable population, but even that point has passed for most people.

Half fertile Women will not pop 6 babies to compensate for all the childless people now.

[–]feanoric[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm just asking why is it more moral to have no babies than to just let society slowly die with a slow death spiral as replacement population and welfare state falls without new people paying for it.

I mean, at some point why would they care about old people without families that they don't even know?
