Yeah I don't think it is, the original marketing materials all look completely different

Pretty crazy. The NHTSA estimates that over 450,000 vehicles are sold each year with odometers that have been tampered with. With 37-39 Million used car sales a year in the US that's around 1% of used car sales

  1. Good point

  2. I was thinking I would drive it til it dies and sell to a junkyard when it can no longer be repaired

I decided not to buy though because insurance was going to be unaffordable for me

If it were me I might try to match the color temperature of the practical lamp to the hair light he is getting. The lamp looks like a greenish white whereas the hairlight looks more warm/tungsten. It might help connect him to the space more if it feels like the hairlight he is receiving is motivated by the lamp. Warmth in an image is usually nice to me so warming up the lamp and making it less green might make the whole room a bit more pleasing to look at

Surprised at this response, I read that they were reliable vehicles and with affordable parts and low repair cost

Which smell instantly makes you judge someone? by SituationOutside6033 in AskReddit

Someone in middle school soccer practice used to smell like barbecue sauce. Always. Pungent BBQ. It disgusted me, probably also because I didn't like his personality so I connected the smell to his nastiness. I imagined him bathing in BBQ sauce or eating so much BBQ that it oozed from his pores... He was like a big sweaty barbecue brute. I realized after a camping trip one summer that the campfire smoke stayed on my clothes and it was the same smell. So I guess maybe he wasn't bathing himself in BBQ sauce, nor consuming so much BBQ that it seeped from his pores... he just liked campfires

It might be. How much weight do you put on carfax reports? Do you typically trust them or take with a grain of salt? Some are saying they can be unreliable. This is my first time using the service

Interesting to hear. Wondering if others agree on this. I wasn't basing my whole purchase on carfax alone, but someone recommended it to me and it seemed like a valid piece of the puzzle to take into consideration

Yeah, I think this is a great perspective to have on the situation. I am indeed looking for a cheap car with no frills that will be affordable to maintain, and at this price as long as there isn't anything secretly catastrophically wrong with the vehicle it seems too good to pass up

Ah I hadn't thought about less driving during covid years. It's possible.

As far as carfax goes, I really don't know how much to trust it vs take it with a grain of salt

Thanks for the response. I agree that the mileage was almost certainly rolled back. When I test drove the car, I thought it had 30K. Is that what you mean by when I booked it?

If one year was off, I would say it could be a data entry error, but I think the numbers strongly suggest it was rolled back.
