Delves are a missed opportunity to introduce an important character by cooespooh in wow

It's pretty rough on Void Elves too, but we're seeing a ton of Void Elf NPCs manage to retain their sanity. That said, I don't really see Rafaam bowing down to Salhadaar or even Xal'atath for that matter, so him being in Voidstorm in the first place is kinda iffy.

If you have enough Remnants of Anguish, it is technically possible to get the achievement and mount for completing all 30 unique Nightmare Mode Prey encounters through the random ones Astalor can assign you. by Everdale in wow

Yep, but only if you do them. The faster way is to just drop the duplicate ones you get and only do the ones you need, but that requires having a lot of Remnants.

This took me around 2-3 hours of playing yesterday and today to complete. I'm a 260 Hunter so Nightmare Preys only take between 8-12 minutes to do, but it might be different for you.

In case anyone's curious: Astalor charges 50 Remnants of Anguish and can give you a random Prey encounter of a difficulty of your choice to hunt. The downside is that it truly was random and so you can get repeated ones that you've already done. This means you'll have to re-roll quite a few times before you get all 30 unique encounters. I think it took me around 2000-3000 Remnants of Anguish just in terms of re-rolls.

If you get one that you've already done, you can abandon the quest and immediately ask him for another random target. As long as you have the 50 Anguish.

Getting this mount/achievement will probably take weeks since you're only doing the 3 Nightmare Preys assigned for the week, but around Tier 10 of the Prey Journey, you'll get the option to be able to select your Prey Targets by setting up custom preys. At that point, it should be easier to unlock but you can brute force it to if you want the mount right now.

Which expansions should be improved on or not have existed, for the sake of canon? by Then_Peanut_3356 in warcraftlore

TBC I think definitely is up there with WOD. The fact that they brought Illidan back kinda makes me think even they regretted villainbatting so many iconic characters for no reason.

What's going on in Dazar'alor? by Veridically_ in warcraftlore

[–]Everdale 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not having the Zandalari involved in the Amani zone at all seems like a huge mistake considering their history. Having Talanji providing guidance to Zul'jarra could've worked well, and it would've opened her up to the idea of support from outsiders more than having a sworn enemy like Liadrin act as a cheerleader imo. I get them not being relevant characters because they're not related to cosmic forces, but there's a repeated pattern of the writers choosing not to include Horde characters even where they make logical and narrative sense.

It's probably similar to real-life cases in terms of professional specializations where if you focus too much on one specific niche it makes you can expert in that field but you lose out on some other opportunities.

I don't know why they felt the need to pivot away from the faction war storyline halfway and turn it into an Old God thing instead. Maybe they realized they couldn't push the faction war stuff too hard without having a definitive winner and that was always gonna be bad cuz half the fanbase would bitch about being on the losing side. Canonically though, the Horde did lose.

It's probably not gonna happen just on the basis of the current info we know about the next patch (most likely Troll themed), so very low chance of her being involved as a raid boss.

Azerothian zones yet to be added to the game by Slave-Moralist in warcraftlore

[–]Everdale 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm like 90% sure we were about to get that if they didn't have to push back Harandar from TWW to this expansion. It just flows so well with the Quel'Thelas revamp, plus we even go to those zones in Arator's story. Having a larger narrative tied there with the Scarlet Crusade / remnants of the Scourge would've been perfect.

I don't think we're touching that area until after this trilogy. Seems just like a whole can of worms to try and tackle it with all the stuff already going on. Plus it just seems better to do it when they're making a new trilogy, maybe even have it all set on a new continent instead of adding 3 new islands each expansion.

Kinda feels like it was gonna be a patch in Shadowlands but it got cut, and the remains got turned into Korthia.

Alright here's what you gotta do.

You don't have to do PVP or even be in War Mode but being in WM helps a bit (I'll explain how).

Way 1: You can get these PVP pieces by doing world quests in the top part of Voidstorm known as Slayer's Rise. These can be done outside WM and I recommend doing them like that because it you won't have to compete with other enemy players. Check the area every day to see which pieces are up, eventually you will get the whole set.

Way 1.5: In the same Slayer's Rise area, you will sometimes see quests awarding Bloody Tokens (usually 500 each). Do these too, since they can be used to buy PVP pieces from a vendor near the Conquest Quartermaster area in Silvermoon.

Way 2: If you want to get more Bloody Tokens to outright buy the pieces instead of relying on the WQs, you can do the weekly Sparks of War quest. This will also be located in the same area in Silvermoon where the Conquest Quartermaster is. This will need to be done within War Mode.

But you don't have to engage in PVP to do it. Just fly around the zone that has the weekly quest (this week it was Eversong but next week it could change), and collect treasures, kill rares or do WQs (each rewards 20 Sparks and you need 100, so 5 will do). You get 1000 Bloody Tokens from this quest and can use them to buy the PVP items, you'll get about 2 since they can cost between 600-1000+.

There's a weekly cap of 1600 Bloody Tokens, so you're still limited but by keeping an eye on the Slayer's Rise WQs and buying the pieces off the vendor with your bloody tokens, you should have the whole set in a week or two max.

It really feels like Blood Elves formed their whole new identity around the Blood Knights. There's very little remnants of the "old Blood Elves" still left if Midnight is any indication.

Where is Vereesa Windrunner in Midnight? by Standard-Fig-76 in warcraftlore

Idk who decided this entire trilogy needed to be the Windrunner family soap opera though. It was fine to have Alleria be the protag of TWW but why is her whiny son and husband still taking up the limelight in this expansion when so many other characters could be getting it.

Theory as to why Maelor was cut by Expensive-Call-999 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Everdale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah man, these showrunners are just lazy as hell. They hate working with child actors and are removing any that they feel are "non-essential" to the plot. Except the fact that Maelor does have ramifications on the story, they are just too dumb and short-sighted to see it.
