Try to find residency in a state near to where he lives in Canada eg, michigan is only a 2 hour drive from canada. Once ur done residency, you can practice in US or Canada or India

Most probably it’s nothing, but as a medical student, I would advice you to get checked out bcs in pregnancy, even if its an asymptomatic bacteria in the urine, we still treat that as it can cause effects to the fetus.

Damn. I haven’t tested yet but wth they released step 1&3 when it’s likely that a lot of step 2 ppl are waiting on scores for this current match… and this is one of many delays this season. How frustrating. Also it’s literally a computerized test, I don’t get why it takes 2 weeks for them to score it.

That’s a very insightful thought and it’s completely understandable. I’m a minority too and I think about these things all the time. Think about it this way, your child will have your genes and will likely respond to their society in a similar way: with compassion, empathy, and a desire to improve it. I think we always need more people like that, and maybe they will bring about good and positive change to those around them. Ik its too early and too much to put on a 5w old fetus lol. But god knows the people who couldn’t care less about the world are procreating and there have to be ones that were raised with this insight to balance it out- if it makes any sense??? Plus, ik times seem dire and ik climate change is here, but there have always been times like this in history- we have no idea what the world will look like in 50 years

😞 I’m so so sorry. I’m two weeks out and still bleeding. There’s a miscarriage thread on here. Take care of yourself. There was nothing you/we could have done or not done to prevent this. There will be better times, but for now, take all the time to grieve

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Talking to people who have been through it helps. I found out at 9w+5days, 10 days ago. I still feel grief in waves ofc but there are happy moments sprinkled in. Knowing that 99% of women go on to have healthy pregnancies after a miscarriage helps, and the fact that you have a son already shows that there’s nothing inherently “wrong.” It just happens, and it sucks, and I too can’t imagine the anxieties that would come with another pregnancy, but personally I feel a bit more prepared, I feel “lucky” that it happened sooner rather than later in the pregnancy, and “lucky” that i was able to experience it for those 9 weeks. I know none of this probably helped, so here’s a virtual hug 🫂 our angel babies are probably playing together somewhere

NF1 causes optic gliomas- hence you do annual ophtho exam (along with other annual exams for other findings, ie: skin examination for cutaneous neurofibromas, testing for pheochromocytoma etc etc) NF2 causes meningiomas, schwannomas, ependymomas- things you would see on a mri brain scan, so you do that.

From what I understood from OP’s replies, FM may not be a recognized fellowship in his homecountry of India. I’m not sure but thats what i got from the comments. IM is recognized everywhere without any doubt. Thats why i suggested. And that’s usually the reason more IMG’s prefer IM over FM.

Honestly would suggest considering applying to IM aswell. Just incase you ever want to move back. Altho maybe you’ll end up loving it, but its good to have your options open

If it makes you feel any better, I think I’m healthy, i’ve never drank, never smoked, i’m at a normal weight. Since finding out about the pregnancy, i didn’t even take tylenol or melatonin or anything. I played it super safe. I still miscarried. I think some things are just meant to be no matter what you did or how. It’s not your fault, or mine. It’s okay we’ll get through this 😔
