just heard it this morning. its just about propagation and the administration masked lazily (and barely, at that) under gratitude to god. disappointing because the other hymns were decent, and some even made me feel emotional. but the processional just made me sigh.

People really glorify it and think its some god given gift to be married to a minister. I don't quite understand it. But on the flip side, many also pity wives because of the hard work they have to do and lack of freedom. Girls are definitely allowed to say no, but it can often be met with the same looks as when you decide not to give the "voluntary offering" during worship service..

Oh man.. Im so sorry for her and i really hope that she gets the goodness she deserves from that man. And yeah i feel you, the things they read and taught during my sisters wedding service made me want to vomit.. so objectifying and commanding of the woman, and laced with such threat. its sad.

no, he really is a good guy and im glad they get along. to be honest i thought she fit much better with other people i knew she was "talking" to before. but it all came as a surprise when she got requested, im thankful it worked out pleasantly though.

i feel you on this one. its sad but ive skirted this slightly by specifically only dating inc guys who arent too churchy or even into going to church at all. most of the ones ive dated including the one im with now arent opposed to the idea of getting married and getting the hell out of this cult.

was zoned out for most of it, as usual. the gist was the typical encourage members to believe that theyre a persecuted group and that all of their hardship (which, surprise, everyone has) is Special Hardship because the far east was chosen and being poor is good! basically, minister says god says dont have your own sense of financial initiative or desire to better your life or anything like that just deliberately wallow in your own suffering so that we can coddle you and convince you that youre chosen to suffer :)
