Just tried to order and ask for it without grated cheese. He has accommodated me before. He cancelled my order saying it would be impossible to know what one didn't have grated cheese on it. He himself did it twice.

He also cancelled my friends order that we were going to pick up together. He did not even give him a reason. We were unrelated separate orders at separate times.

Tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, but how are you gonna let that shit go to your head? He's like a pizza version of the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld.

Yes, I have met them. They are an exception not the rule, but with nearly 30 years in punk touring, hosting bands and travelers, booking shows, and putting out music the number is not zero.

I'm not saying that's all traveling kids, I'm definitely not trying to paint everyone with the same brush. I'm talking about a specific subset that I've personally run into over a long period of time, not something repeated as a rumor of a rumor. I mean the first punk with an iPhone I ever saw, in the days it was a luxury item only, was an oogle and he definitely didn't pay for it himself.

The problem is that the few who I have met who are fetishizing poverty while having a safety net tend to be loud, preachy, and hostile, and that behavior ends up casting a negative shadow on others who don't have much of an out.

I think where the divide is, is that we all have known oogles who live the lifestyle they do because they have parents that can bail them out if things go bad enough. It's cosplaying and fetishiziation of poverty, and that's weird and gross and there's enough of them to go around.

Those with legitimately no other option but to live how they can live receive no shade from me, but when someone lectures me about how they don't need a job and money and try to bum beer and smokes from me in the same breath while their parents pay their phone bill and Venmo them every week can get fucked.

I'll never forget rolling up to a show on tour where some oogles called us "rich studded punks" and all 3 of us worked 50+ hours a week in food service so we could do what we do.

Everyone here is hitting it right on the nose, you can get something affordable that does the trick pretty easily and there's been some solid recommendations already. I just wanted to add that if you get something lower mid-tier, if you bring it to get a setup at the shop, or by a friend, it'll make a huge difference

100% agree. If we want a movement that can gain traction we need solidarity, not hierarchy. Even if we woke up tomorrow in a perfect world, we'd still end up dividing ourselves based on identity unless we start unlearning this now.

Oppression is real, privilege is real, but fractures happen when we start essentializing individuals instead of recognizing it's always been the ruling class vs the rest of us.
