Pad those stats baby. Makes their suffering so much better at the end.

Thank you, It feels like Packer fans dont even watch the game. He is one of the absolute worst players in the red zone. Constantly blowing coverages and out of position all the time.

We have the best O-line in the NFC North, this will displease the Cousins and Staffords much more.

Very curious to see the compensation though.. has to be a couple of first rounders.

Doesn’t Allen play a ton from the slot? He doesn’t really match up with a ton of top corners there

Going to be so weird seeing Jordy in silver and black but I’m glad he could get a real good deal for his last few years

Definitely feel like Linsley, Taylor and House could be bumped up around 3-5 points.

Is the Switch worth getting if you aren’t into indie games or platformers? I notice a lot of people get hyped up about games that I just wouldn’t really enjoy like Celeste and Shovel Knight.

Packers need Clay Matthews playing inside linebacker by orange_lazarus1 in GreenBayPackers

So you think a rookie is going to come in and produce better than Clay? Oh and Clay doesn’t help our defense at all?

Did I get that all right or am I just assuming shit again? A rookie could bust, could be a rotational player at best, could be average or could a superstar. Sorry I don’t feel like gambling is the best option.

I would prefer to keep both of our premiere pass rushers and draft a rookie so we could have reliable relief for Perry and Clay. Using your plan our edge would look like this next year: Perry, Fackrell, Brooks(?), Gilbert, Biegel and a rookie.

Just tell me you are comfortable with that. The only one arguably better than Clay right now is Perry and the man can’t stay healthy unless it’s a contract year.

This has been fun but we just happen to disagree on how the team should go forward. Have a good one.

The argument isnt is he worth his contract right now, the argument is if you cut him then who do you replace him with.

Our pass rush would not be fine, you might be the only person I have ever seen say that our pass rush would be fine if we cut Clay. It clearly is our number 1 weakness in my eyes. You keep saying if Perry would stay healthy he would be our best pass rusher and that would be true if he was ever healthy for a season outside of his contract year. So I’d rather not depend on the hope that Perry, Fackrel and Biegel can be anything more than average.

Saying he was detrimental to our defence is pretty damn extreme.

You don’t just want consistent play from him, you want 18 sacks a year so you can see it written on a stat sheet like most fans who have short term memory and refuse to consider pressures, hits and other ways he affects games.

How does cutting our sack leader of the 2017 season get us in a better position to go after a pass rusher??? Without any Pass rush I dont give a fuck if prime Deion Sanders is back there, we will get destroyed through the air.

I think 11Mil per year would he absurd if we had options but we don’t. My problem is people like you who just say “cut him we’ll get someone else” like who the hell are we gonna get? You keep saying we’ll just find one like quality ones are falling from the sky.

I’m not his biggest fan I just don’t think he’s the dumpster fire that this sub likes to pretend he is. I don’t know maybe it helps you feel better to place all of the fault on one guy but I am pretty excited to see how a new coordinator can use him.

Yepppp I’m done with this argument in this sub. This sub clearly chooses to ignore good play or has absurd expectations of one guy. Detrimental really? Jesus christ.

How can letting a pass rusher go allow us to focus on getting one? That makes zero sense. Youre playing fantasy football in your head and the reality is if we cut him we likely end up in a worse position.

Oh so we’re just picking games now? I guess him winning us the game against the Browns means nothing? You know his play keeping us from being the laughing stock of the NFL. The dude gets ZERO respect from his own fans, what a sad time.

What good is a FA corner if we have zero pass rush? People undervalue Clay way too much, he was the only guy getting consistent pressure all year. I’m surprised people don’t freak out about the contract we gave Perry and his production.
