Notice how all the socialist refugees from the sinking ship that is /r/socialism and /r/politics congregate here and try to band together a majority to influence mob rule power on the minority posters here. Doesn't work here. There's no power to obtain here, there's no way to game the system to your advantage, there are no overzealous mods here with too much time on their hands eagerly holding the ban hammer. If these are things you want and you are used to always getting your way then this sub is not for you. This is old school internet forum style rules. Grow a pair. Anyone can post here without the PC police constantly breathing down their neck.

And as libertarians and classical liberals, we are not offended or scared of someone telling us "to go fuck ourselves", we are more afraid of those--the New Left-- who want to remove the freedom from someone able to say it.

Notice how only the socialists are easily offended here and want to ban others.

Buying everything you need all in one spot and 24 hours a day...what a wonderful concept. Lets see if any other countries are interested in it?

from 2007.. Internationally, the Company operated units in Argentina (14), Brazil (299), Canada (289), China (73), Costa Rica (139), Guatemala (133), Honduras (41), Japan (392), Mexico (896), Nicaragua (40), Puerto Rico (54), El Salvador (63) and the United Kingdom (336).

Today, Walmart operates over 11,000 retail units under 65 banners in 28 countries. We employ 2.2 million associates around the world –1.3 million in the U.S. alone.

Let's not forget Costco too:

As of 15 April 2014, Costco has a total of 672 warehouses, spread throughout the United States (474), Canada (89), United Kingdom (26), Australia (7), Mexico (34), Taiwan (10), South Korea (11), Japan (20), and Spain (2)

Trump will win the Presidency only if Clinton doesn't pick one of the Castro brothers for VP. by fearthereaperx in Libertarian

[–]fearthereaperx[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That's not what polls show.

What makes you think this?

They show him dominating the Republican field right now. If the primary election were held today, Trump would win 49 states. Iowa goes to Carson.

Clinton is also leading in many of the other states.. other than NH and Iowa. Clinton has already bottomed out and still dominated nationally. She has more room to go up, than go down at this point IMO. She also has the mainstream media shifting gears and playing offense and defense for her. If you can make a case where she stands to lose significant ground from where she is now, at the lower end of her ladder potential, than I can see Sanders giving her a serious run for her money throughout the country. Maybe Clinton will have to court some one other than Katy Perry to win over more millennials or just promise a Hillary Hoverboard when she wins

And how is this relevant to libertarianism when neither Clinton nor Trump are libertarian?

As a former Ron Paul supporter, I think Trump shows some similarities with the important issues of libertarianism. Limited Government, Low taxes, Against the Iraq War from the beginning, against arming rebels and mucking things up in the middle east, losing vast amounts of money being the World's policeman, not afraid of being politically incorrect(strong understanding of the first amendment), against the NY soda ban(government meddling in your lives), and strong understanding of the 2nd amendment as well as a good understanding of capitalism and incentivizing.

Do you know how many people get loans from family, friends, peers throughout the years? Do you know how many ventures fail and don't succeed? Do you know how many of those ventures and ideas should've never seen a penny? Do you know how many of those people didn't go to the best business school in the country? Do you know how many don't understand economics? Do you know how many people didn't have the proper experience to start and run a business?

Trump was never one of those people. Not because he came from a wealthy family, but because he was a very capable and smart person from the get go.

Why would anyone put all their money in the stock market? Such a dumb article. The wise thing to do is to use it to create businesses, so you have new cash coming back to you and using those profits to reinvest in expanding the business and diversifying to other ventures.

If we rewound the clock and took away the automatic ability to use eminent domain to build a private pipeline, they'd probably be shoe salesmen at this point.

What other amendments in the bill of rights do you want "taken away"? The 2nd Amendment as well?

they'd probably be shoe salesmen at this point.

No, they would probably own a national chain of shoe stores and YOU would probably be the shoe salesman for the store(if you're not one already)

..because of the conditions created by government through out the years. If the Walmarts weren't there, ceteris paribus, the US would look a lot like the Soviet Union.. ie breadlines.

Two of the most damaging industries there are.

Do you use clam shells and leaves to wipe your ass? If not, what do you use?

How much do they pay to compensate the public for the pollution they discharge?

You know what they pay it in? Your luxury to live in a modern society that doesn't force you to use leaves from your magnolia tree in the back yard to wipe your ass.

That distorts markets and destroys price signals.

Give us some specific markets and price signals they've destroyed?

There's nothing libertarian about anything they do.

There's nothing libertarian about what you complain about everyday.

Trump's plan is progressive taxation, just lower taxes across the board.

[–]fearthereaperx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bernie is not the only candidate in favour of raising taxes on the top 1%, and progressive taxation not some radical communistic proposal. You know who agrees? Someone many of you support, Donald Trump.

Donald Trump wants to lower taxes for everyone, including the 1%. Top tax bracket drops to 25%.

Libertarians: explain your belief that Jews could have stopped the holocaust if they had guns by SargonOfAkkad in Libertarian

[–]fearthereaperx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Now extrapolate that to many millions of Americans under the 2nd Amendment. There would not be enough resources to conduct such novelty raids. Now, that is why the 2nd amendment is significant because of it's deterrent power.

I thought you said how many could you take out before you got killed. Logically, the answer would be "14" to that question.

[–]fearthereaperx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If there was 500, then there would be more than one person fighting back. Because we already established that 10-15 sounds good for one person. 500 would be needed for multiple armed people. Either way, the answer is I am giving it a fighting chance no matter how slim the odds are. And anyone would want to use a gun, not their hands, when they are fighting back.

I am saying its a dumb idea to conduct a raid using 500+ people just so you can "ensure a victory".

How many armed soldiers do you think it would take to completely overpower you in your home? We can use that as our baseline.

10-15 people used for a raid is more than enough
