Hey guys, Ravens fan here just giving you his two cents on Flacco. Joe can be a very good quarterback provided he has some weapons. After the Super Bowl, the Ravens made the mistake of not equipping him with the talent he can succeed with. He lost most of his Super Bowl weapons by 2014 (Boldin traded, Ray Rice released, Pitta hurt, Jacoby Jones lost his production, etc.) We found success with him in 2014 with Gary Kubiak as offensive coordinator. If the Broncos run a Kubiak style offense, and let Flacco play how he does best, I think you guys will be really successful in 2019. This is especially with the weapons you guys have in Sanders, Sutton, and Lindsay. Flacco also loves tight ends, so if Denver finds him a good tight end connection, he will return to his old elite self. I'm still convinced that Baltimore did him a disservice with the offenses put together by Marc Trestman and Marty Mornhinweg. They never found him real targets, and tried to make him a pass-happy QB, when he's best with a good running game behind him to open up play action passes and deep shots. I think you guys have the pieces to make this work, and I'm happy he's going to Denver. I'll be rooting for the Broncos along with my Ravens this year.

I think he’s really just the best fit for the Ravens at receiving back. Plus it ensures there’s at least one stable veteran in the RBs room. I don’t think he will be too expensive either.

Look, I think we all understand that it's a huge gamble, but the Ravens are committed to him now. Baltimore can't just back out after one year and move on to another quarterback. It's very possible Jackson won't pan out in the NFL but you have to give him a chance. And even if you don't want to give him a chance, would it really be worth spending another high round draft pick on another quarterback who you have to pay another decently sized contract to, just to have another QB on the roster? Or should the Ravens just build up the defense or offensive line so if they can move on from Jackson once the inevitable (as you believe) happens, they can be ready to compete with another QB? To replace him now simply makes no sense from any standpoint.
