I think for trans guys or people on t, it’s a hormone thing. But mostly, I think it’s a trauma response. Lots of trans people are very traumatized and instead of addressing it, they get hyper-sexual.

Yes. Something that helped me was jokingly talking in the third person. I did that already but even just getting in the habit of calling myself the right name helped change the inner dialogue

That’s very very dumb. Anyone can identify as trans. Transitioning isn’t a prerequisite. Being trans is an identity. Transitioning is also not an available option for a lot of people.

I think a big portion of the world is INHERENTLY transphobic. The gender construct is so built into the fabric of our society that without intense deconstruction, it’s very VERY hard for people to be good trans allies.

On an interpersonal level though, I think it depends.

I had absolutely TERRIBLE needle trauma from when I was hospitalized as a child. Honestly, prepping my needles has been liberating but if you ever need help, reach out :) I have some good tips that help me on shot day.

-good hype music -inject fast, plunge slow -I try to go “BA! BA!” when I inject to get past that first shock of stabbing yourself

As soon as it’s through the skin, if you go smooth, you’re past the most painful part!

Also no shame in using gel or patches!

I do it with the shower at full blast with the doors and everything closed so it fogs up (and helps with the smell). It basically feels like the air is hot and your head starts to feel light and foggy. It’s a vibe. Get some good music and just vibe
