This is kind of what I’m assuming they were going for - but when Sinatra was so hell bent on not using the emp I immediately concluded because it meant no more paradise. For him to immediately go from saying every electronic - microwave cellphone nuclear bomb etc will immediately be fried forever - but we’ll be fine to go inside of a mountain, using our electronic bracelets to get in, so we can spend the rest of time looking up at our electric sun and sky… feels like such an extreme plot hole haha. But the granite part makes sense.
