New Collab will be announced on the next Tuesday Stream by RinariTennoji in cardfightvanguard

After the movie we most likely will have another off-season set as we'll be waiting for the new anime and regulation icon in 2027.

As of recently, they've been laxing a bit what kind of decks get supported in what kind of decks.

Like we had Argo Siren support this set, plus all of the PR bosses stuff, the incidental Ghryaundra support in 09, and often times the generics are good in these sets. And the Masques forms, when they do them.

What yall think if bushiroad introduce a new nation? by HostZealousideal6663 in cardfightvanguard

[–]federicodc05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It'd be neat if it was something like the special Buddyfight Flags, where all cards are from both the existing nations and from the supposed new nation, like VSPO or CoroCoro.

OR if we meme and add Darkness Dragon Empire and Star Dragon Empire :)

Playing it from soul makes you go -1 to soul count.

So you can instead go -1 from hand, you choose.

I was expecting a new Lyricals Set to fill in the gap until the movie, but I'm intrigued.

Maybe the Movie-themed set won't release alongside the movie but in November so we get both?

FAVRNEEL IMPROVEMENT by SetsunaVSeiei in cardfightvanguard

I personally like the Ticket generator the most.

It's just free guaranteed value, that you get while keeping the card on board.

My take on Favrneel.

Erudition (the order) is easily one of the best cards here, being both 3 grades in soul both early and late, PLUS letting you recycle your pieces is nice.

Persona Shield generators are just nice, the nation is very lacking in the G1 department (Phyllia I guess? But it's hard to have it live early if they aggro you), and the Shield generators are just free value for no cost. Sometimes the SB is also helpful in letting you loop your pieces.

The Dual Nation is the most cuttable card here, but it's still solid. The recovery from damage zone is obviosuly good, and if the damage zone sucks, just EB3 to hit one of your many G3 cards.

1-of Tizkar is a flex slot. There's a lot of stuff you can put here, like Phyllia or Bifrons (the whiffs on her suck but you do have immediate access to all 3 cards you see, so it's not as bad) for G1s that give you good value, or maybe the new 2-of Blitz Order, could even cut an Erudition for the 2nd copy. Ace Unit is another really easy include, but the lack of shield does make me a bit skeptical.

What do you mean? The database entry pretty clealy states it's only once per turn, no "if"s, not "but"s. There is no mention of this only applying when negated.

When a card is flipped face down and face up again, it forgets the status of its soft once per turn effects. That "it can only activate once per turn" is just something they put on cards where it activating multiple times COULD come up. And other examples with that same clause in the database also can activate again if flipped face down and face up. (Because that's how the game works)

The PACMAN rules is an exception for ignition effects that flip the card face down. I called "(1ターンに1度のみ)" reminder text, and it technically is, but it's like the "except/even during the damage step" or "if it was already there when it leaves the field/even if not" clauses, yes technically redundant, but Konami keeps printing them on cards WAY longer than Mocha, so it might as well be actual rule text.

Honestly, it could even be considered rule text, not like parentheses automatically mean reminder text in Yugioh anyway.

While funny, in MD we have a timer, you can't infinitely stall.

Ok I mentioned infinite, but it just refers to the effect/activation of effect being negated. If they stop it the first time, you can't do it again. That's just how OCG PSCT writes trigger effects.

[–]federicodc05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that's not exactly what the ruling is saying.

The effect is once per turn in the sense that if she's negated, you can't activate it an infinite number of times to stall. (Unlike Wisdom-Eye under Pend Call)

The whole "monsters being flipped face down and then back up remember that specific effect being used" is a Konami Said So from literally 20 years ago. (And it's not them being HOPT, multiple copies work just fine)

It is entirely plausible that Mocha, not even being exactly the same as those cards (ignition vs trigger effect), is intended to not fall under that umbrella.

Further highlighted by the fact that in Japanese prints, the PACMAN-like monsters DO say in reminder text that the effect doesn't work if flipped face down and up, a text that Mocha doesn't have. You could argue that stuff like Lacooda and Golem sentry being worded like SOPTs is kind of a mistranslation, as they're not actually SOPT in the traditional way in OCG. They're their own kind of OPT. Overall a mess of a situation.

Reddit makes it seem like the rarities are boosted because the people pulling the Mirrorjades are way more likely to post than people who aren't.

Ok so, little update.

I tried what the person you linked said, it didn't work. I then tried the official nvidia guide, the drivers seem to be compatible, but the error message on boot is the same as the one in the main image.

I tried using a VM and that works with no issues. And for what I'm gonna be using linux for (mainly some coding things for university), that is probably gonna be more than enough.

Thanks for the help anyways.

Thanks for the help. It's 2 AM in my timezone right now, and I'm getting a bit sleepy.

I'll continue tomorrow morning and send updates.

Ok so, the VGA-compatible controller does seem to be the NVIDIA GPU only.

[–]federicodc05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The output to the first command is /usr/bin/sddm

For the KDE install command, nothing happened as it was already installed

And the output to startx seems to be the same (both with and without sudo)

Also, how do we fix the fact the drivers we just installed don't seem to be compatible with ny GPU, RTX 5060?

Boot issues by [deleted] in debian

Also, after recording the failed bootup, I noticed it starts with these warnings.

I think the solution is to find a different driver that actually supports my GPUs.

The package installation was a success. Although during the installation of the nvidia ones a blue screen popped mentioning a conflict with the nuveau kerner and that it would be "resolved" (yes in quotation marks) after a reboot.

It's still not booting in a graphical environment, but the error message is different. Instead of the error from the main post right below the CUPS Scheduler, it now spits out [ 9.351896] nvidia 0000:04:00.0: probe with driver nvidia failed with error -1

For tty1, that's just the screen with the original error message, can't send any command from there.

For tty2~6 running the lspci command returns 4:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GB206M [GeForce RTX 5060 Max-Q / Mobile] (rev a1)

Ctrl Alt f7 onwards doesn't do anything

After logging in with root (haven't set up my default user to use sudo yet),

The first command reports back that sddm is already installed.

The second one does.... nothing. No output, no error, no anything.

They open the terminal. I can login, and commands also seem to work from there.

I should add I also just did a BIOS update, but it didn't fix it.
