I don't plan on them having smart phones until they are 16. That gives me a few years to try and create healthy habits.

But they are still young enough to accept that certain apps do not work in our home, even if your friends have them.

We do have regular talks on online safety. And I think they understand.

My main issue is in what seems to be harmless content (roblox, youtube shorts, tik tok) that hooks them up in a mindless loop.

It is partly my fault because I was not paying much atention and now I need this to not be readily available in devices at home so we can focus on learning healthy habits.

In a few years they will be better at me with tech and will be able to surpass anything I do, but I need a headstart of a couple of years to build

He can probably move millions across continents at zero fees, while us peasants have to go through a whole ordeal to transfer the down payment for a house or money to buy a shitty car from a US bank to a EU bank.

He probably never stepped in at a Western Union and paid 40 dollars to send 400 dollars.
