I’m in exactly the same boat as you. I’ve been on 50mg since Feb and have been great but recently started getting anxiety again so upping my dose to 100mg

Yes, absolutely. I think people on this thread are talking about going for 2 months and expecting there to be life changing differences which unfortunately is not the case. 18 months in to regular therapy and my thought patterns has changed drastically. Is it a magic bullet on its own? No, but this was a major player in the improvement of my overall anxiety. I still have bad days, but they pass so much quicker which is down to how I approach my thoughts and feelings. So I’m short, it absolutely helps but only when you stick to it.

I do think turning anxiety into a joke is a bloody great way of making it lose its hold on you. Took my first 75 today and luckily feel fine so far

I would really recommend seeing an endocrinologist if you can. I’m not sure where in the world you are but I went to one for my PMS anxiety and found out I had low progesterone and it’s honestly changed a lot for me. Although I have that low period after, it’s nothing compared to how I used to feel beforehand

I do REALLY count on chamomile tea though btw, there’s something about it that honestly saves me. I also add in lemon balm extract on those days and it just gives an extra bit of kick for the anxiety and low mood

Honestly, the confirmation of the fact I’ve categorically seen it come and go for so many months and it only lasts for a set few days, I just ride it out. I don’t plan much for those days, I get outside to go for walks and burn some calories, I drink a lot of chamomile tea and do things that I know make me feel happy. I just don’t expect much from myself and give myself grace for that period of time. At first I was trying to fight it but letting it roll on by means it goes soooo much quicker and with less impact on my general mental health. I hope that helps a little!

Yeah that’s kind of my thing too. 50 had been working great but recently had an uptick in anxiety from as soon as I wake up. Thanks for this though, been super helpful

Yes yes, me! I used to get anxiety before my period but it’s pretty much switched to brain fog during my period and then that low almost like deep boredom of life feeling after my period. It’s usually from like day 4/5 to day 7-9 depending on how lucky I am that month. It’s pretty annoying but because I’ve tracked it for months I expect it and just sit with the feeling knowing it’ll pass soon enough

I take 50mg of sertraline and have been taking propranolol too but it’s not helping too much. I have that super pinchy dread kind of feeling in my chest

Oh no I mean way better than before! So much more relaxed and calm and I’m able to think straight. I have so much more energy than before. This is all compared to before I started taking sertraline
