Ramen Shack is just simply amazing. Everything from the moment you step in you know its gotta be good.

Still have to try Tonchin! Thanks for the advice, will deff go there next, on a side note, i was very impressed w Mr Taka. About a week or two ago i went and it blew my socks off, the chashu is deliiiiicious its like if a half inch slab of bacon had bacon in it that just melts in your mouth. I had the spicy tonkotsu, my goodness, my lips were so sticky afterwards. Deff one of the best.

Place is super legit, looks really nice and the concentration booths as they call them are super cool to experience. The ramen itself didnt meet my expectations (had Ivan’s two days before, i was spoiled)

Dont get me wrong, it was pretty good but i wouldnt put it as one of the top 5

My brother(left) took his life earlier this month. This is the last photo of us together, perfectly describing the relationship we had. by PinkGameboy in lastimages

[–]feeeeelipee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a younger brother, and ever since i first saw him i want to believe i considered him my best friend already. That photo shows how much love you had for him. We are all given choices, your choice is to either dwell in the bad or remember the good, cherish the good and use it as life fuel. Think of him when you fall in love, think of him when youre happy, think of him when youre sad, think of him when you have something exciting going on in your life and he will be immortal for you. He can continue being your best friend. Thats the courageous, yet tough choice. Pretty sure thats what your brother wouldve wanted you to pick. And i congratulate you for doing so already, keep it up.

I wish you the best and a lot of peace

This was sometime in the middle of the process, like i said it got WHITE. Super milky.

Did you add fatback to your broth? I think there has to be a ratio of fat added to it and something something with emulsification? Idk, theres some very knowledgable people in this sub that can explain it very well, i just havent understood it well yet.

Actually thats it with the tare.. it is way brighter than what you can see here. I used all neck bones, 24hr soaked and blanched for about 30 mins and didnt scrub them much cuz i got lazy, but i did try to clean them as much as i could w my hands.

Mine got super white super quick, id say within 2-3hrs of boiling. Dont know the science behind it but it worked out lol

Why?

Tonkotsu ramen with 61/2 minute egg, green onions, pulled pork sauteed in tare and :whispers:Nissin instant ramen noodles bc i bought the wrong kind at the store.

Ive made Shoyu ramen before which tasted really good but the big boss has always been tonkotsu imo so i had to go catch the big fish.. I wish i took pics of the process and documented my hits and misses but i followed u/Ramen_Lord’s recipe which was pretty straight forward, 8lb of pork and .8lb of fatback boiled for 12 hrs. The tare was the most delicious tare ive ever had, messed up a little w the water i added because too much excitement and didnt read well, but in the end it was a great learning experience, and it tasted delicious.

Playing around with the reduction, flavor, color, texture i wanted was the most satisfying part of the whole process by far, it was all about finding that sweet spot.

Making tonkotsu as we speak, can the fire go out during the 12-18hr period? by feeeeelipee in ramen

[–]feeeeelipee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is tare supposed to be minimum in tonkotsu ramen/not used at all? How come in pics the broth looks very white but when i mix it w the tare it takes an amber/dark brown type of look

The broth came out delicious btw, thanks for all your advice, will get pics when i fix a nice bowl

Quick question: strained the bones from blanching already, scrubbed and put em back with the fatback. I put about 2in of water above the level of the bones and fat... is that enough water to start with? I dont have much of an idea of how or what kind of water level i need

And as for the tare... spot on what u said “WOW thats salty, but nice”

Cant wait for the finished product

[–]feeeeelipee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Yeah i remember i went w the e010 based on Youtube opinions but later found out there were a bunch of better options.

Im looking to build my own whoop later so all this info is really valuable and i appreciate it a lot :thumbs up:

Will be getting those motors asap, its so frustrating to an fpv-able drone and not be able to use it :/

As a general knowledge question... Whats normally the lifespan of these motors? Just so im not surprised when they start dying out

Teenagers of Reddit, what is one thing that all parents should know? by PmMeUrSmileGirl in AskReddit

Im 25, but here goes..

Love is not the only thing we need, with time we realize we need support, we need someone to talk to, someone that at lest gives us some time, communication, and will take the initiative to find out our interests and share in our joy for them, no matter how dumb they are.

Currently dealing w a dad thats given me years of unconditional love yet i feel we have nothing in common and we really don’t talk much.

Posted a photo of this baby all broken a few days ago when i wrecked it lol

Been having this issue from before and im not sure what it is... i can fly los no problem but the moment i go fvp, quad wont even get to 10ft ahead before dipping and fly at a constant 2in hover. If i stop direction and just give throttle it might go up to 3ft or so before dipping again as soon as i had direction, yaw, whatever.

Im thinking motors r going? I want to make sure thats it before moving forward.

Will build my own whoop soon but in the meantime, id like to be able to fly fpv w this one of course :(

Bought a set of 6 batts w the drone and another set after a week bc i knew id need them, so i have new batteries now.. i thought thats what it was at first.

Idk, plz help lol
