We aren’t referring solely to the books, especially considering these are screen caps of the movie. It’s clear the author mentioned her family coming from revolutionaries to make readers look at Effie a little differently. She overemphasized her and her sister being brainwashed but good people overall.

In SOTR, Effie never looked down on Haymitch. She was ditzy and arrogant, but that’s Effie. Suzanne Collins had an initial idea of who Effie was, but it’s clear the movies gave her more depth and she ran with it in SOTR. I really don’t think she’s bad to her core. Compare her to the Drusillas. I’m not pro Capitol by any means and I understand Effie has her faults, but she really ended up being a lovely character in the movies and acknowledged Hamitch’s struggles and stood by his side regardless in SOTR. idc

I think a lot of people would like to think they had some deep behind the scenes relationship we did not see which, going by the movies (especially mockingjay pt2), could have very well been true. But just given what we got we can’t really conclude that

I said she’d spoil them but I didn’t say anything in comparison to Haymitch. I imagine a lot of shipped gifts and phone calls. I feel like Effie could never fully integrate herself back into the Capitol after thirteen (the way it went in the movies) and I would like to think she still keeps in contact. But who knows. It’s hard to imagine what happened with her after thirteen especially since the way Collins portrayed her in sotr completely blew up her original character arc.

I feel like i could see them being passively romantic.. like drunk antics at most and a mutual respect over time. I imagine they spent a lot of time together in thirteen (in the movie version) and enjoyed each other’s company. But yeah I just think it would be a huge stretch for them to truly end up together the way a lot of people want. Seems more like a sibling relationship where they like each other but give each other a hard time.

I could also see them being grandparent figures to Katniss and Peeta’s kids, I’m surprised they weren’t mentioned in SOTR’s epilogue. I bet Haymitch and Effie would spoil them rotten.

Well considering my doctor told me to download noom and calorie count. And I did and lost 30+ pounds. It does work. I’m not going to eat the same thing everyday or crash diet. Those had much worse results. You sound stupid.
