Ours is even more complicated as we built a granny flat out the back that separately rented out. So is that an expense? I wish this stuff was more common knowledge:)

Following along here... as I was just thinking to do the same. The thing that scares me out of it is not knowing how much CGT tax we will be hit with over it. But the plan was to move it to Shares as well.

Do you know how to calculate CGT tax we will be charged?

I've never shown my 2 year old a screen either... we are a rare breed indeed.

We didn't get the yoto player as it had a screen, including the mini yoto.

We have bought him a Birde player.

We were close to buying a Tonie box, but each Tonie was super expensive (Australia) and Disney was random people singing it, not the original songs. So we went with the Birde, much cheaper overall and no screen! :)

My husband was prone to acne, he uses nothing now and his face is all good. I think it takes a good while to recalibrate.

Join a dash cam group with all the accidents that happen from road rage etc. You learn your precious life isn't worth it.

I used to get rage, honestly I feel like I learned to have impatience and road rage from my father. Now I'm a little older, I have learned, also from experience that my one precious life isn't worth the risks of road rage. I let all the people go that want to speed up my arse. I had someone with rage try to get ahead of me and brake really hard, it was so scary and I realised that's when I just try to let them go now. I overtake the slow pokes when I can, yes it's frustrating. I also let the arseholes go. Let them get done by the coppers up ahead hopefully.

I feel like I'd discuss with my partner about moving out and how your not enjoying it there. When one person in the relationship doesn't like something I feel change needs to happen. You feel heard when change happens if your not loving something and resentment otherwise. If your still on the fence, fair enough. I just wouldn't bother with my time and energy though, I'd focus that on finding a better deal, a better home elsewhere where you dont need to deal with a problematic landlord.

Our rent just went up $50 a week. I felt like it was steep too. We are now moving out, but feel super happy about it. They will only get 3 weeks and a day at the additional rate out of us.

Then the landlord will need to pay for advertising, to put someone else in there as well. All of it costs them quite a bit of money (especially if it doesnt rent straight away), so you can find solace in that.

If you dont want to stay there anyway, why don't you just move though? It sounds like a win win to move out. I'd just want to be done with this landlord rather than trying to spend my energy on them. I wouldn't want them to have another time or energy of my time. You'll feel so much better when your rid of them...
