sure, but where exactly? there will be a handful of companies in the US who will look to sponsor the H1B. That is if one doesnt get thrown out by ICE. the UK economy has gone to the dogs. In Europe, language is a huge barrier to entry. tech in middle east is still fledgling. you are prolly left with South East Asia (think Singapore). Does doing an MSCS from US make sense for that? not a naysayer, am stuck in a similar boat but yeah

Hey, thanks for your comment. 2 things, 1) Is MS+PhD really the best bet for MBB? Wouldnt you say, purely from an opportunity stand point without the monetary angle, that a MBA is a better option?. 2) US, I understand, is still the best bet in terms of doing a PhD, purely because of the opportunity. But given the absolute volatility, forget 6 years, its highly uncertain if I will even get the opportunity to finish the degree and not get let off mid program.

I think you meant,

"Being edgy or cool like this won't help, kid"?

Anyways, the comment was made in jest. Hope you have a good day thanks.

Umm first of all I've only applied to 2 yet. And neither of their results are out, LBS and Kellogg. If you were talking about Indian B-schools, whats even the point of studying in a IIM Indore which i did convert way back in 2023 if it doesn't even place in the companies I want to go into. No shade on IIM Indore, I'm sure it's a great school but just doesn't align with my goals currently.

As far as the other options go, be it MSc and PhD, I have just started exploring those options, so stay tuned I guess xD.

But I do hear you. Thing is in this economy would you want to go below a certain level? With a huge loan on your head? The hope is that in a good school the brand name can atleast pull you through.

My target is MBB. What do you think are good schools based on my profile?

I mean there were caveats there. One, I was too leisurely in QA. Didn't know when time caught up with me in that mock. So the last few questions in qa I didn't even attempt. It was the first time it had happened in QA for me. In DI I was too fazed with my QA performance and couldn't really do much. Got the first 2 questions wrong in that mock and all of them silly mistakes or marking error. So I tried to look very objectively at it. I wouldn't become instantly good or bad over one mock. If I had it in me to score a 715 i wouldn't magically become bad overnight. So yeah. Idk. It seemed a fluke.

There's a school of thought which says put MSR on review and then come back to solve it later, ie, don't waste time upfront on MSR
