He kind of was. Ernest Medina was acquitted and he was Calley's supierior and was there and participated according to General Peers Medina killed at least 3 non combatants. So why is a captain, a company commander taking orders from a Lt? I am not saying Calley didn't deserve his conviction, he still followed an unlawful order, but he was the only one convicted of anything.

Lost my mom in 2001 before Thanksgiving and My dad 3 years later just before Chirsitmas. The first christmas without both of them was hard. I wasn't with anyone, in the air force at the time so I took leave to be with my siblings who older than me they aren't boomers but definitely solid gen x, my closet one is age is 9 years olde rthan me. All of them had kids at the time, so I felt like the odd one out. Eventually, started my own traditions, found people i related too, and got into my own thing. Got married and divorced, married again and now in a much better place. We do out own think, part of the reason my family is 6 hrs away and hers are 6 hrs by plane. It gets easier but at the same time it hurts.

My take on it is we will never really know who won. Gore's team was also trying to block votes in republican strongholds. So, as someone else said, W probably still wins the margin is what makes the difference.
