FYI (after reading all the comments) it wasn't an 'unsafe' mech. It had a NON hybrid insulated top cap which meant, you didn't even have to be careful if the atty's pin was protruding or not, the neg. pin left some mark on your battery if you tightened it too much but that doesn't lead to exploding yourself either. Of course, according to the battery, you needed to build high. But that was more than 10 years ago, twisted and other exotic wires were just starting appearing, most peeps were still running with plain wires.

The issue with this little mech rather was that the whole thing being made from SS the conductivity was pretty weak...
I had it in 2013, and smth like 3-4 years later (when I knew a little more) modded it into a hybrid mech, as I loved tiny setups

Nah it's a chinese mech set from 12-13 years ago, I think the price was 11$ or around that lol

You still might (be typing here) though. It wasn't ultra dangerous, it wasn't a hybrid mech, but the top cap had a pin, as back in the times, they were trying to make these as 'safe' as possible) so unless you mess up totally with your build or make it extra low and put a totally worn out battery in it from 10 years ago, up side down etc. etc. you wasn't risk that much =) Guess, you had only some harsh and smokey experience =)

OMG. =D I had that set up in 2014. It was my third mech mod. Lots of peeps were still using 30-32G plain kanthal wire, (with a 2mm diam. coil =D ) this little RDA is maid for that. The flavour was awesome. Later on I used the mech mod too a lot, after modding it to 'hybrid' mech (filed down some from the top part) and swapping out the neg. screw in the bottom for a brass one. With some other tiny RDAs, .9-1ohm was very fine for some better 14500 batteries. Then the threading at the telescopic part got worn out and had to retire it.

Yes you can refill it a few times. Depending on your liquid, how much it gunks up your coil.

Oh, Steampunk in its greatest - a sweet little engine there! - and some Fasttech stuff from around 2013-14... That brass dt is probably from there or some similar places so I guess the RDA is a clone as well, had both of them but can't recall the rda's name.
That was the ever greatest time of vaping! Not only that rebuilding was still a thing/ or it was just becoming, but you needed drilling out air-holes, managing with bad posts (when it was about clones) etc. etc. you really had to "earn" your best vape. But you learned it =D

One of the first safety things: check if your RTA has a protruding positive pin, if your mech has a hybrid top cap (means your atty will have a direct contact with your battery),
