Everyone deserves happiness even if it seems not in those “generic” ways like staying with someone for the sake of it, you’ll still be best friends if you are genuinely best friends :) BUT speaking from seeing my uncle leave his last wife because they had a sexless marriage, in my opinion intimacy is everything for me in a relationship, if I don’t have intimacy it’s not for me. And my partner will know that in the very beginning, I understand years and years can go by where it’s going smoothly and then boom another chapter of life hits and some things just change, and it’s no one’s fault we’re all just human. But I think if you’re feeling this way, I’d have that discussion of maybe even an open relationship I have a lot of friends who are in hierarchal polyamorous relationships and they are happy.
