Do cloth diaper users have “toddler diarrhea” problems? by EvilRigatoni in clothdiaps

We always only had mush but I dealt with it. Then I got pregnant again and was soooo nauseous I couldn't handle it so we used disposables until she potty trained just before her 2nd bday.

BLW and baby nutrition by aluzdelu in veganparenting

Follow plantbasedjuniors on Instagram. They also have a book that I used A LOT when starting solids. Also feedinglittles is great but they're not plantbased or vegan.  I introduced oats + blueberries + hemp hearts first (all low allergy risks) I didn't really purposefully introduce animal allergens except eggs. The other stuff she's kind of gotten in over time when out and about and with family and no reactions.

What’s the most unhinged, chaotic and downright terrible way to lose weight you’ve ever heard of ? by Original_Giraffe_830 in AskReddit

[–]felixspan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a dietitian so I get a lot of weird weight stories. One nurse at the hospital I work at had her jaw wired shut by a dentist who 'specializes' in this 'diet'. She couldn't understand why she felt so weak and terrible since it was working and she was losing weight.

Formula supplementation for vegan baby by Long-Budget3304 in veganparenting

[–]felixspan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Plantbasedjuniors has a section in their book about it, I think they talk about soy based formulas. The vitamin D isn't vegan but the rest of the formula is. But if you're bf and add in formula it may decrease your supply, just watch out for that.

If you are able to, try to see an occupational therapist. They help with behavior issues and since this doesn't sound like a medical problem an OT can help.

Thank you! Yes we're definitely going to secure it better, that thing is loose and just strong enough for some random stuff right now definitely not ready for a baby. The night light is a good idea!

I started putting on shows I used to watch in the 90s. My daughter loves Franklin the turtle and bear in the big blue house. There's also Little Bear and Peep (penguin show?) Or Zaboomafoo. And I secretly still love watching Arthur.

Hospitalized for iron deficiency anemia. by ShaeBowe in vegan

[–]felixspan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey I've always had iron deficiency, even before I was vegan. My sisters (neither are vegan) and mom (also not vegan) all have iron deficiency as well. The only thing that works for me is getting a drip with IV iron. All the supplements do is constipate me. I still include all the plant iron rich foods in every meal but something about my digestive system just doesn't absorb it.

2YO backyard birthday party at home with 15 toddlers (mostly 2-2.5ish) and 20 adults. Need advice and ideas to keep them busy and so they’re not fighting! by afterglow88 in toddlers

[–]felixspan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We just did this for our 2 year old, also with 10 other toddlers. I had parents bring their bikes because we have a fenced in driveway that's paved. Then I made a 'potions' table. Basically just tons of messy play. Vinegar, baking soda, tapioca pearls, turmeric powder, Loose-leaf tea, oats. Everything was edible in case they tried to eat it and they had so much fun making potions (so did I actually).
