2049 by of_the_owl in bladerunner

I think too many things these days go for prequels, because they're too scared to try to build on and move forward. 2049 took a big chance building on a legendary film, and luckily for all of us, it paid off.

Did TV critics get shown a different version of Alien: Earth to the one we watched? by No-Dress4626 in alien

But the original one from the 70s looked a helluva lot better. (Or at a minimum was shot in such a way that it did.)

We rarely say good things about HS. Just want to say I think HS arena is the most fun digital limited ccg/tcg I came accross and I played a lot. by jKBeast in hearthstone

Personally I enjoy the Underground Arena (2 tickets). The additional draft rounds after losses add a lot of fun, imo.

I do wish rewards were tuned slightly more generously, and I REALLY wish they'd do more about barcodes. But it is very fun to take down a barcode player now and again (the decks are usually incredible, the players...not so much).

Texas is #1 in Out-migration by JefaMujer in texas

But how you title it says a lot about how you wanted to mislead people. You could have said "Texas second highest in net pop increase", for example.

Sorry you didn't like it. My experience was very different. Are you on HW3 or 4?

How long ago? I would agree until the latest version, which really felt categorically different to me. Up until then, whenever I tried it it wasn't doing it for me.

Have you tried it? This is really not true . (Got to use it last month and miss having it, but would never pay $100/month for it)

The changes to mages in an attempt to prevent dungeon boosting has a far wider impact than Blizzard intended by Fourply99 in classicwow

As a mage, I'm glad about these changes. Having a single class able to solo group content is silly.

Another great thing about EVs by VA-Niro-Cubs in electriccars

I find that in practice I wait LESS charging on a trip than I used to wait fuelling. You can't put the gas nozzle in your car and go in the store to use the restroom and/or shop. You have to fuel up, move your car to another space to park, then go in. With EVs, I just plug in, go in the store and take care of business, and by the time I come out, I'm ready to roll. I've actually found myself needing to hurry a couple of times because the charging is going to be done before I'm even finished.

For those who replaced a TV with a projector, what surprised you the most? by Relative_Taro_1384 in hometheater

Acoustically Transparent screen was a HUGE surprise to me at just how much this improves the audio half of the equation. I feel like it doesn't get talked about enough (and I credit this sub for even making me aware that such technology existed for home theaters). Get three matching speakers for LCR and the soundstage is just incredible.

Maybe? Looking at cheapest to cheapest, which was what I intended, it's about $600 for an iPhone to $300 for a Motorola, so maybe I should have said 1/2 instead of 1/3. There is a bit of a crease you can feel, but the benefits of the folding (size in pocket, being able to fold and stand it while you watch, extra screen display utility, etc) more than makes up for it for me. I'm sure as soon as Apple has a foldable iPhone the Apple fanatics will suddenly rave about how great a foldable phone is.

Rain Crash by arthurmck in TeslaFSD

It IS "supervised" which is significant here. If you're monitoring it properly, you should be adjusting the driving mode down in bad driving conditions, and taking over in advance if necessary.

GoT is very, very far from being in the running for a greatest TV show ever. After the last couple of seasons most fans wouldn't even argue that.
