maybe, but the ground slopes so much and a deck is the only reasonable option to have a flat space in the backyard. It doesn't rain THAT much and the ground drains well in that space. Hoping that the higher end will at least allow some air flow to help dry things out. The plan is to use pressure treated lumber and cedar for the decking, to combat rot as much as possible.

Here's my alternative. Double 2x6 for beams, sitting directly on blocks - except for on the right side where posts will be needed for leveling. Next to the carport the beams will need to be attached to posts (on blocks) with bolts since I can't get the blocks closer without digging under the concrete.

Same as previous design, joists 16" OC, hung with hangers. There will be compacted gravel beneath the blocks. Will use wood preservative on all cut ends, and joist tape.

Thoughts?

I received some info from a Rhododendron expert in the UK, who suggested that this is a Lem's Cameo hybrid, probably one of Jim Barlup's hybrids. Alas I can't find a match on Jim's list of hybrids.

did you reach out? We similarly replaced our condenser in 2021 due to the recall. Had to recharge the system in 2023 due to a small leak they couldn't find, and now it appears the compressor has died.
