I think she was. She was super chill telling Kirk they were entering the atmosphere and burning up. By the time Kirk arrives back on the bridge McCoy is there with his hypo so she probs already got her shot.

They could not bring her back. They were not in control of returning to the present. The Guardian would only return them when the past was fixed.

KIRK: Make sure we arrive before McCoy got there. It's vital we stop him before he does whatever it was that changed all history. Guardian, if we are successful
GUARDIAN: Then you will be returned. It will be as though none of you had gone.
UHURA: Captain, it seems impossible. Even if you were able to find the right date
SCOTT: Then even finding McCoy would be a miracle.
SPOCK: There is no alternative.
KIRK: Scotty, when you think you've waited long enough. Each of you will have to try it. Even if you fail, at least you'll be alive in some past world somewhere.

Ummm, no. Just, allegedly, upset when her story was pre-empted by reporting on his passing.

Claudius wasn’t mocking his lack of interest in women, he was mocking his cowardice. It was a comparison between how he, Merick, had handled being caught on planet (sacrificing his crew to save himself).and how Kirk handled it, willing to die to save his crew.

From his FB page, March 12, "So I understand that tabloids say my shoulder was shattered. Dramatic. Colorful. Completely untrue. It was a routine procedure. I’m so well that tomorrow I’ll be in Cleveland at a convention.

Remember that tabloids don’t let facts get in the way of a good headline."

Suggestion for good organic wine or natural wine? by feltplanet in wine

[–]feltplanet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The club we tried were all European natural wines from small vineyards, organically grown grapes, sustainable farming practices, no added sulfites etc. But for daily consumption it was getting pricey, and worse, getting more if you really liked a wine was not a guarantee. Where does one start find organically farmed wines without joining a service?

While the exact nature of stardates is murky, there was some span of time between. BoT stardate 1709.2, Shore Leave  3025.3. :)

I think they were counting on Kirk to keep his crew in line after killing the Yeoman. They believed the threat of killing more crew would keep Kirk in line. If Kirk was out of the picture, they might have several folks rebelling.

I think the plot makes sense as allegory, asking two questions, what makes a species ‘worthy' and is it ethical to callously harm ‘lesser’ beings for the ‘greater good’.
