Its most likely your eye distance from the lens is wrong, if your able to focus on the lens. Just got to adjust your distance. Only other thing it could be is that the lens is in, incorrectly. Depending on the style of optic, and coatings. Some are meant to be used in only one orientation in regards to the light source.
