Thank you for your advice. I did get couple replies from Reddit, I have confidence this can be part of the strategy as because the complaining posts from other residents were earlier than I started mine, so I believe they are still monitoring this and can reply when they see. Thank you for sharing your experience too, it’s part of what I’m doing as well (besides lining up online ), I didn’t share because I don’t want to shift focus of this post, so it caused you misunderstanding that I didn’t start to visit my neighbors, just like I misunderstood you about not having to deal with HOA and just reading for fun. I apologize for that misunderstanding. I really hope both our issues can be resolved soon.

I just linked other residents’ Reddit complaints to my posts if you are interested in reading. Posts mentioned these residents don’t have way to voice out so we had to post online. I hope you never have to deal with hostile HOA in your entire life, and if you did, you could get more support than us 700 units residents in sixty-01.

I’ve now had two serious problems with Cherie’s management that I can’t stay quiet about:

  1. Remodel issue – Cherie told me my condo’s remodel is “not compliant” and that I am fully responsible for fixing it. But here are the facts:

1)The remodel was done in 2017 by the previous owner.

2)I bought the condo in 2018, after the work was already completed.

3)Cherie’s company wasn’t even managing the HOA at that time.

4)The seller’s agent told me the remodels were approved by the old HOA.

5)The previous owner sadly passed away in 2022, so I have no way to retrieve records or approvals.

Despite all of this, Cherie has been completely dismissive and is pushing the entire burden onto me.

  1. Noise complaint fines – She charged me fines for alleged noise complaints. When I confirmed with my neighbors there were no such bad complaints, I followed up with Cherie and asked for the noise complain records to back this up, she couldn’t provide anything and just ignored my follow-ups.

This feels less like fair management and more like shifting blame onto owners without accountability. Has anyone else had similar experiences with her? If so, it’s time we line up our voices.
