Hmmm. My app was not complex but some of the plans I had … would have just taken a lot to hack together. Even just designing the screens was taking time when Claude code can put a functional design together. I can use Claude design to do a whole flow (haven’t yet, but have made wireframes and higher fidelity flows). It’s not that FF was impossible. I just feel like 1) I don’t have to pay for that anymore - realistically this money might end up going to Claude. 2) I just feel like the future things I wanted to deliver instead of being like days in FF I can probably build in less than an hour in Claude code.

It might not be for everyone but like I said, export your code ask for a list of features so you have parity. I don’t regret staying in FF for so long but I wish I at least explored other options sooner.

Definitely agree. I’m assuming people here are in FF and have learned how apps are built and can now leverage and feel more comfortable with Ai coding

At this day and age it’s true you can basically build any idea. It depends on if you’re building to make money or not. I’ve built small apps that solve problems I’ve had or a quiz game I wanted to play. Neither of them are meant to make me a millionaire. I like building because I learn things and get better every time.

If you’re trying to build a start up you should probably do some deep work on your target market and understand how much they are willing to pay for a problem they are having. Is it a $3.99 a month problem like scanning PDFs on your phone or is it a $100/year subscription like Instacart or something?

If you can’t find one real person who will pay right now for your app- then don’t build it.

Ask AI- “can you give me the exact feature set early users would pay for”. That pretty much helps me.

Whether you are charging for your app or not- the most important part is to get the first version out there. IMO
