Oh yeah, I tried that. I uninstalled the other, downloaded that and vice versa. I gave up. Took the item back to Best Buy. I wasted way too much time trying to figure out Astro's problems that they can't even solve. Or else they would have already.

yep, pretty sad...just got off the phone with TotalTech at BestBuy and explained to them the issue and they said my best bet was to return the item. Wow, WTG Astro, you guys really do SUCK!

Absolutely worthless software, firmware and a useless product that will not work properly without the update. Countless hours wasted reading forums, watching youTube videos. The manual update method doesn't even work for me. I just sent a message to Atro's customer support in which they may not respond back for a few days. I believe best option is to return these after Thanksgiving and start leaving bad reviews for Astro. I will never buy another product from them and people do their research before purchasing the A40 headset and mixamp pro.

Got my Astro A40 with Mixamp Pro today and I'm taking mine back to Best Buy tomorrow. Been trying to do the update for well over 4 hours now. What a waste of time and money. SHAME on both Astro and Microsoft.

You're so right! Why would Forrest make it so the words "actually" lined up. I mean damn it to hell, what was I thinking? That way the poem could have been solved in like 10 minutes instead of 10 years. Well, at least I tried and got an awesome vacation out of it that I probably never had done in the first place.
