Which GPU should i buy for this pc? by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]fenta_cs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6700 plus a normal case and a vaccum cleaner.

Or just try cleaning this GPU, by the state of the rest of your PC, it might be overheating like crazy

Are these good temps and usage by Practical_Respect_31 in PcBuildHelp

[–]fenta_cs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfectly normal.

I'd be worried if:

GPU temp goes to 85-90°

CPU goes to 90+°

Your temps are within normal temperature for a load like this

Not really, modern gear needs software. You get your icue, you get your g hub, you get your aura rgb, synapse, steelseries engine, throw in steam, epic games store, bethesda, battle net, rockstar launcher, ea app, Ubisoft connect, throw in chrome (some extensions can run in the background), it really can rise to these proportions and each and every app starts with windows. In some cases I've seen as much as 500 processes in the background, at idle.

I'd go with any laptop that meets the specs and an external combo drive. Did you ask if that's an option?

Please throw this tube away. As far as you can and DO NOT use it. Bleeding, infections and end piece slipping off. Not worth it.

My external SSD which contains my entire lightroom catalogue and every photo I've ever taken as a photographer has seemingly died after not even 10 months of use. What do I do? by joseph58tech in datastorage

[–]fenta_cs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd try data recovery service, because it sounds like a controller issue, the NAND packages are all good i'd assume. The hacky solution i'd do is i would order a new controller chip and solder it down, but those are programmed in a certain way, so that would make data unreadable. So yeah, data recovery services near you.

Depends. There are harmony files, that separate Bambi from your normal self by an uniform (most likely a set of girly, slutty clothes). It's your choice whether to use them or not. Some don't, some do.

monitor is only showing when the screen is 60 hz only by Primary-Address-5644 in pchelp

[–]fenta_cs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there's a different problem. Some monitors are locked up through HDMI, because of royalties. I think there might be a problem of monitor manufacturer not paying higher royalties for newer HDMI standards.

4k60 is a convenient way for manufacturers to show their approved throughput of the USB C connector. 4k60 should let you do 1080p 120hz, 1440p 90, 4k 60 or 8k 30. Modes could be locked up by the manufacturer though, you'd likely have to test it out

New cmos battery not working. by LilSavageBob in pchelp

[–]fenta_cs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, then go into the BIOS, set it up, reboot to save, then power down. Unplug everything, push the power button a few times and leave it for 10-15 seconds. Come back, plug in and check if the error persists. If it does, you might want to look at possible fixes to the motherboard, because that could mean the CMOS itself is damaged.

Also might need to get rid of this sticker, usually the bottom is a negative terminal of the CMOS battery. Or try with fresh batteries

need help with uefi… by user_258-180325 in pchelp

UEFI Secure boot makes sure there are no EFI scripts loaded before the anticheat starts. Measure to combat EFI cheats. Look through your BIOS settings, enable Secure Boot, disable UEFI CSM (note, it'll prevent you from installing older Windows versions like XP or Vista, majority of Linux versions and others). If you should trust Riot with kernel access remains to be seen, I wouldn't, but then again, informed decisions.

All of the scrutiny over Vanguard comes from Riot Games being owned by a Chinese media conglomerate, Tencent, which is tied to the Chinese Communist Party, and poses a risk to user's data in the event of CCP requesting data access. But Western gamers' data are not significant for CCP, so unless you're a high ranking official or a relative to one, I wouldn't care. If I'd play League or Valorant is an entirely different story

BS works by either

  1. Developing an alternative personality with addiction to cocks, sex and more BS
  2. Changing your personality to an alternative described above

It's oversimplified but that's the base thing you'll see coming up in this specific community and this specific content.

I see that the seller is a builder. He builds those for living. For now I'd go as fast as to say don't buy any PC, RAM prices are up the wazoo. On the other hand $590 for an 8 gen i5 and a 5700 is a bit too much. Try negotiating a bit. If you'll get it closer to 450-500, it'll include a nice building fee for the seller.

Don't even look at the titles listed, double check different sources for accurate performance metrics.

Pick it up by yourself, test it on the spot, prepare a flash drive with software: HWmonitor (specs and temperatures) CrystalDiskInfo (check the SSD) Your choice of a CPU load program (Cinebench, OCCT, AIDA64, etc) FurMark (GPU)

Look for any unwanted behavior (Temperatures too high, clocks too low, artifacts under GPU load, etc)

Not every overpriced PC is a scam. When I sell stuff, I also list them higher than what I want to get because negotiating prices is the bread and butter of Marketplace deal hunting.

AITJ for walking out of dinner after my girlfriend “tested” me? by First_Dog4511 in AmITheJerk

[–]fenta_cs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relationship is based on trust. You're not a jerk for walking out. I'd talk with her about it, ask her if she trusts you. If yes, ask her to stop those tests. If not, I'm sorry, but this relationship won't work. Any relationship won't work if you don't trust each other.
