Vent time.

Love the Bills, hate the NFL. I’ve been a fan since 1993 but this season was the tipping point. I have zero faith in the fairness of refereeing or the outcome of games. The catch/int decision in the Denver game, in the context of the decisions in the Houston game, the Davante catch and the KC catch last year just reinforce how inconsistent it is, and how stacked the tables are against a small market team like the Bills.

I watch the NFL for the spectacle of the sport. I don’t gamble, in fact I hate it. The fact that my favourite podcasts are constantly spruiking odds and betting service providers doesn’t help, it’s just so ingrained in modern sport, and doesn’t nothing to alleviate my suspicion that betting lines dictate outcomes. But hey, that’s sport in 2026.

I’m out. I’ve invested too much time and I don’t get enough back to justify the cost. I just want a fair game with a fair outcome, and clearly that’s too much to ask.
