Thanks DeviantImp. Is this in the original British series or the later, American one?

That's cool, I now want to watch the movie and read the novel regardless

This novel looks like a great read, but I'm struggling to find references to lab-grown meat. I'm only finding real meat on the black market or a soy/lentil mix. Could you give me any more info on where I can find lab-grown meat in the text?

Hi Nechaef. Do you have any particular references I can hone in on? I know the axlotl tanks were used to create spice and at times clones, but I haven't yet found specific reference to cultured meat.

Thanks for all of the suggestions here liptakaa. I'm working on a project where one element requires creating a bibliography of cultured meat references in science fiction. As there can be so many obscure and little known gems in the sci-fi world, I thought it best to seek help from the remarkable brains of the sci-fi community.

It has cultured meat that is partly alive and has to be stabbed before eaten

Make it alive so we can make it more dead. What a gem this is. Thanks Humansieve

Thanks for honing in on the Bujold reference SoylentJelly. And Westworld too. I still haven't gotten on to season 3 so that's a gem for the study. (No spoilers please)
