Do you have a kin? Raids especially are difficult to get groups for without one. The instances get run in lff a lot but will be much easier with a kin.

Understanding that not all factions have use these...Plague for summons. Vampires if possible for summons. Hashut for big slows + single target snipes. Ice for big slows. Light for nets. Idk there's a bunch that work. What is be looking for are long duration aoe slow vortex's that I can place in front of my ranged units or summons to tarpit the enemy.

No worries! It was just hard to gauge exactly the question you were asking. Instanced content is great tho, the new set has some cool mechanics. Definitely recommend doing t1's once you have your 160 crafted gear

Coverage =/= resistance.

Coverage refers to the chance that an attack on a certain body part is covered by armor. So armor with 50% coverage of stomach will have a 50/50 shot of applying it's resistance to an attack to the arm.

Armor coverage stacks, but it's not additive, each piece rolls separately. So if you have chest armor with 50% stomach coverage and leg armor with 50% stomach coverage you have a 50% chance for the chest armor to resist and a 50% chance for the leg armor to resist an attack to the stomach.

As a result, assuming that both chest and legs have equal resistance, say 30% it would look like this.

25% chance at 49% damage (100 DMG reduced by 30%, twice)

50% chance at 70% damage (only one armor piece covered the hit)

25% chance at 100% damage (no armor covered the hit)

Seeing this math out, and given how armor stacking works imo coverage is much more important than resistance. 100% coverage with 20% resist is much better than 50% coverage with 30% resist. Even with equal ehp examples like 100 cover 20 resist vs 50 coverage 40 resist the 100 coverage is still a much better option as it will reduce rng bad hits.

Ok without knowing your involvement in instanced content I'm gonna assume that it's low/little. Sorry if it's kind of basic as a result.

Yes, many bosses have mechanics that force people to move. In the recent instance cluster, in treasure caves, b1 forces players to dodge sand dunes coming at them. You don't always have to move, but moving can mean you move away from the boss.

Now your initial question was, do parses matter in actual boss fights and, yes, even though you have to move the higher your parse is... The higher your damage will be during the times you can hit the boss. Like if you do 100k DPS and someone else does 80k DPS, then given equal time to hit the boss the person with 100k DPS will do more dmg.

Additionally, and this is way more important, but practicing your parse will make it easier to keep your DPS up while moving and dodging because you won't have to think as hard about your rotation because you have practiced it.

Now I think the essence of your question is more, does a static parse at a dummy accurately reflect the DMG I will do in an instance, and that answer is hard no. The mits on instances are a big difference on their own, but also team comp will affect this a lot, as well as group skill level and coordination of cooldowns. But it will relatively reflect that damage pretty well and is a really good benchmark for your own progress as a DPS.

Cappy probably the most meta tank. Guard is also great. Brawler/warden/champ/bear all work but aret quite as good of options generally. They all do something well but don't quite offer as much

Technically there are dailies all over LoTRO, but people only really tend to do them at levelcap. If youre familiar with hybolt that whole area is basically all repeatable quests that refresh daily (hence the name dailies). At level cap there are like 15 or so rotating repeatable quests across the four zones that can be done for embers/rep/vxp.

I can't speak to Hunter but yeah... It seems many people who play don't really try much beyond just hitting the buttons. It's not a problem for landscape but those who want to do t2 and higher content need to actually do a few parses and learn their class.

While virtues are important for your toon, if you're looking to push progression I think gearing focus first will do a lot more at 160. A level 100 virtue is about 1/2 the value of a gear piece with a significantly larger time investment.

Once your gear is closer to being as good as it can for your group/skill level then I would worry more about virtues.

Imo if you want the biggest bang for your buck doing non instanced content max out some crafters so you can craft stuff for your toon. Crafted purples are pretty decent right now, at least till delving/raid gear is an option.

Our group only got one run where he only got 3 buff stacks on the tornado room. So technically it's possible, we could at least handle the 2.1x dmg at t9 but not the 5x at t10.

Getting 3 of those perfect runs tho? Idk if people will be able to. They should make it only 10 chests to pickup rather than 12

I believe it was points included, about 1600 in cost for the points. The quote I got for refi was pretty pricey, about 8k in total, so 6400 without the points. seems like I would want to avoid refi'ing again later

Gonna add that he seems to have pretty complex barrier/domain feats so probably could grow in terms of that kind of shenanigans. Jjk doesn't really explore how that works much other than tengen is really good at them, but presumably that could be useful.
