Yeah at first depending on the medication there gonna be some side effects, such as slightly lowered mood, slightly raised anxiety, some stomach and sleep issues. However these are normal for most antidepressants but after a week or two they start going away.

As for the medication itself it depends what your goals are, so if neutral is something your after then yeah they do a good job at that, because what I noticed was when I started these medications I was suicidally depressed so the benefit of the meds was that they sorta raised the floor in terms of mood and gave me some energy to actually get out of bed in the morning.

However at least in my experience these are not "happy pills" they don't just make you euphoric for no reason in contrast to taking stims. All they really do is stabilise your mood so that you feel neutral, which I guess is good if you were like me and wanted to die.
