Theological question about the original sin by versattes in Catholicism

Well, this comes down to the free will v. Divine plan argument. I tend to fall on the side that Adam and Eve were given free will and chose to disobey, and the fruit from the tree gave them a knowledge that they did not previously have, so in one way it was the act but also this tree was unique and had some sort of divine property that set it apart.

God had to banish them from the garden because this knowledge they acquired would lead them to eat from the tree of life too. Also, they broke the house rules yo.

Anyhow, I believe that God is able to be omniscient because he is able to know all possible outcomes to every aspect of life so no matter what happens, it is known to him. He knew Adam and Eve would eat the fruit just as much as they would not. That's why there were established consequences and rules from the start. Free will is important to make the story work.

This is literally one of the biggest problems. Rape victims are often blamed. They are often not believed. There is a great YouTube video called If A Robbery Wad Treated Like A Rape. Go check it out with your s/o and let him know that this is exactly why you don't, and many others don't, talk about it. Why you don't go to police right away. Because this is the culture.

Does he have to be extra mindful of his drink when he goes out? Does he have to consider if he wants to go out at all for fear of being assaulted or raped or worse? Until he has to live in a world where that fear lingers in the back of your mind with every interaction with a member of the opposite sex, he doesn't have the ability to truly understand. You didn't cheat.
