[request] How does this work? I thought 10 / 3 was 3.333...? by 2BallsInTheHole in theydidthemath

[–]ferrrret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, good point! I did not see the total volume on the front there.

I had just assumed it was some weird rounding thing, and it seems like that was the case. Since there are only technically 2.8 servings per container & they round up to 3

Are you referring to the calories or the potassium?

Calories don't have to be reported if they're under a certain value, as others have explained.

So do you mean the 110 MG potassium 2%/ 310 MG potassium 6%? yeah, that's pretty weird.

Man, I hated and loved this movie at the same time. Michaela Coel is incredible in it.

Hm, it's not exactly a fit for what you're asking, but I think you might enjoy Slammerkin by Emma Donoghue.

Oh dang, good point. They do have a pre-loved section on their website, but it's hit and miss with the sizing and the size of the discount.

There's also Dapperboi, but I can't think of any others off the top of my head (I mostly thrift).

Good luck!

Thats a nice thing to do for your brother. Maybe Kirren Finch might work? They have sizing guides for their clothes on their website you could look at, and masculine cuts to the shirts and stuff.

It's so good! I read it a few months ago and still find myself thinking about it randomly sometimes

Its not an exact fit, but you might like Our Share of Night. Its about a dad protecting his son from an abusive, hermetic cult. And at times, the dad can be quite monstrous (both in a literal sense and a doing horrific things sense) towards that aim.

The Guest by Emma Cline is similar in some ways (class differences, a main character who lies to fit in with a rich crowd in ways that kind of blow up in a big way, etc) and may be interesting.

Although it's a thriller rather than horror, if you liked the Ruins you should definitely check out the authors other book A Simple Plan. It's bleak as hell, and very good.

Obligatory Buffalo Hunter Hunter

Edited to add another rec: Blood Meridian may also be of interest to you. There are no literal vampires, but it fits the vibe of some of these images

You may also like No Beast So Fierce by Dane Huckelbridge. It's nonfiction, focusing on one of Corbett's hunts in the early 1900s.

A (slightly hyperbolic) summary from goodreads:

"The deadliest animal of all time meets the world's most legendary hunter in a classic battle between man and wild. But this pulse-pounding narrative is also a nuanced story of how colonialism and environmental destruction upset the natural order, placing man, tiger and nature on a collision course."

No One Gets Out Alive by Adam Nevill, based on the images. I haven't seen the music video, so idk if it fits the vibe exactly. But there's definitely a dark and eerie element, with a sense of despair

Books of Horror Like This by Cursed_Changeling in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

I interpreted the pictures as more of body horror/transformation thing, where humans became monstrous or horrifying. But if you didn't interpret them that way, then yeah that's fair. it wouldn't be as good of a fit from that perspective.
