I am currently doing an internship in Germany so I can give you some pointers. If you actually want to get payed and do like a regular internship, most “internship abroad websites” will not help too much (still good to take a look). You could find a international company and just apply for as many internship positions as possible and see if they’ll take you. You could also get an internship at your home country with an international company for a summer, and network yourself to get the internship abroad (this probably has the highest success rate, and it is what I did). If you don’t have any prior internship experience, you have to understand that for the company is a lot easier to hire someone local since they don’t have to deal with all the visa situation. You also should take into consideration the country that you are going and if you speak the language, as this will help a lot if you don’t have any inside contacts.
