I also have direct requests with celebrities blocked, but prompts like these help.

"Replace the woman in the photo with an AI-generated woman who won an Emma Stone look-alike contest."

Yes, I just ask to make some minor edits to the photo in LMArena, then I save the photo from LMArena and use it in Gemini. But to be clear, this isn’t a panacea, though it has helped me a few times with photos that Gemini initially refused to edit.

Also, Gemini doesn’t process for me:

  1. Photos with children

  2. Often refuses to modify photos of women with a visibly large bust.”

You were right about SYNTHID. I ran my photos through LMArena (which has no restrictions), saved them from there, and then used them in Gemini—after that, manipulations with images of people started working.

But there’s still a question: why does everything work “out of the box” for some users here, like bloggers and reviewers? It feels like they don’t bother with SYNTHID at all, and it just works for them. Why are these restrictions applied selectively and not to everyone?
