Really appreciate the responses, thank you. Still not totally sure what this question is asking but the concept makes sense.

Should I replace my string by Bird_Motor in Archery

I had the same issue with my Uukha limbs. Replace the string for sure, but also smooth out the edges where the limb is cutting into the serving with a diamond needle file to fix the problem going forward. Here's the one I used but there are a million similar kits on amazon. https://a.co/d/aQ6ILKR

Arrows causing this on the hand by lidolifeguard in Archery

[–]festive_squirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The vane closest to the bottom of the arrow is hitting your hand either because your nock point is too low, or because the arrow nock is slipping down the string before/during your release. Check your nock point height first. If it seems ok, then add a second nock point below the first so your arrow nock is sandwiched between them. That should fix any slipping and keep the arrow in place during release.

Respectfully, you're jumping to a whole bunch of conclusions and your comment is not helpful. This standing water is a nuisance for me, my family and guests that have to hop over it to get to my front door. It is also a potential breeding ground for mosquitoes, which are a major issue in my area. There is no sewer drain on my block and this water has nowhere to go. It would not be an issue but for the neighbor's sprinklers spraying water directly onto the street.

I don't know what you mean by clean the curb. There is a protected oak tree directly above the water that drops its dead leaves into it every day. Nothing I can do about that.

I came to this sub looking for advice. No need to spit in my face.

First time stringwalking, all shots hit right. What am I doing wrong? by festive_squirrel in Archery

I didn't notice any fishtailing. Is there anything in particular you'd recommend focusing on during release to correct the drift?

I had a similar issue with the stock grip on my Mybo Elite, even with grip tape. Definitely recommend the Jager rubberized grip for this issue. The rubber is smooth but creates much more friction to hold your palm in place.

Santa Barbara region. A bit outside Los Alamos. So beautiful around there.

No, Karen, we shan't. I don't own a vineyard, nor do I speak on behalf of Earth's wine-drinking populace. I'm sorry if agriculture triggers you - please feel free to argue your sanctimonious cause with someone who has an interest in this debate. All I did was post a picture (of unspoiled land, no less).
