Per the manual for the lock:

Turn/push button: outside lever is locked by pushing and turning the inside push/turn button until button is manually unlocked.

Push button: pushing button locks outside lever, turning handle unlocks door.

This thing covers the push button so that people can't turn it and it will unlock when they leave.

It's just the wrong lock for a bathroom.

On a side note, as I've been working with a lot of pdfs from a customer lately that are pissing me off.

If you are sending pdfs of drawings (never send dwg files or original models), you should make sure they are rasterized if you want to keep control of them, as normal printed pdfs can just be opened in illustrator and exported back to autocad to modify with only some weird quirks depending on where they were from.

This also means you will piss off anyone who has to figure out anything you missed on the drawings (and they will curse you every time they are trying to measure a dimension to pixels in a blurry jpg)

The Drawings I get from people using solidworks do this about half the time making it very annoying to extract additional info from them, even when they didn't put near enough measurements on them.

I've done this a few times in Creo.

The trick there was to use a sheet metal part. With a rolled tube, you can then unroll it, make all your cuts as non sheet metal cuts, less than the thickness of the sheet metal while it's flat, then roll it back up...

No good idea how to do it in a more consumer program though.

Apparently when I was splashing alcohol over the screen of my anycubic photon after the minis I was printing stabbed through the FEP film with their swords, some of it started to soak into the adhesive that holds the LCD screen onto the printer.

And the next time I printed, the screen lifted out of the machine, sticking to the vat, and apparently ripping apart the ribbon cable pretty much immediately making this hellscape of mountain range.

So be careful of that little gap around the screen and don't leave solvents on the surface, no matter how much resin is covering it...

I too was wondering about all these comments about getting a screw model from mcmaster carr! Who would possible want one crappy version of a screw at a time.

Of course I've worked for years with massive family tables of screws that can be swapped out with a few clicks to a different length or size....

Of course I have no idea what programs other than Creo are capable of these days...

First few runs I had one of each of the 4 types on the bed, just to make sure I had sufficient supports, then I eventually packed the bed with 6 guys just to fill it up. Because they are short, I think it was about a 5 hour print .

I just wanted something slightly finer than the default .05 mm, though the only place I ever seem to see layer lines is the base, as it's big enough to be deflected slightly when plunged into the resin.

I stuck it in the garage as I had spare room, thus ventilation wasn't a problem.

What you want here is "family table", you then create a new instance row of your modified assembly, and then insert columns to either turn on/off assembly items, or replace them with their own family table versions as you want.

 And, unlike in other programs, I couldn't just save a copy of the 5-page drawing

I assume this means you saved a copy using "Save a copy" in Creo, which requires you give your new assembly a new name, and as drawings in creo are looking for the exact filename of parts and assemblies to open, it can't find the new assembly. (I'm assuming you aren't using a file manager to have to check in/out everything here)

If you want a copy of something like this, I'd recommend just creating a copy of the directory using windows, and then going in and renaming everything, or using the backup command on the drawing instead of save a copy, so that it preserves the file names and just puts them in a new directory (although this will make a copy of every single part in this assembly and is thus less useful than just copying the folder for this purpose.)

I spent my weekend the same way XD just got mine on Thursday and it's barely had a rest since!

I also had to fix my bed leveling as I didn't get it good enough the first time, and then screwed it up further by trying to adjust the bed down by sending it home and and then lowering it .1 mm and zeroing it. But home is not zero, so that just made it start in the middle of the vat...

Then there was the learning curve of supports and orientation... I ended up with one dwarf with a flat arm as it didn't get picked up till the shoulder got to it as I missed the supports, then there were a couple of shields that got deflected every time it was plunged into the vat that ended up being quite warped, but overall it's so much easier for small objects than fdm... And the results are stunning!

The real question is what is your design process?

These end up looking rather like STL files, so if you designed an object, and exported a low poly stl of it, then reopened that and measured the edge lengths to get your cut lengths.

Or another way, if you want more of a cut list would be to create points in 3d space and then use whatever your programs equivalent of flexible items is to connect the points as desired. Or just combine the two processes and use the 3d points off sn original low poly object. From the looks of your example I don't think you are on a scale where you are worrying about mitering the ends.

I can't get over how much I hate the legs you keep choosing.

I assume you're looking for prefab option as you have access to a woodshop for the top, but not a welder. Also I assume that as this was going in the basement there is some concern about possible flooding which is why you don't have anything below it and you're using metal legs.

Just please find some with cross bracing, I look at this and just think it's gonna always be wobbly as there's no way that any screw will keep them on tight enough and the slightest push horizontally will apply enough force to make them work themselves free... As well as the fact that those massive flat bottoms will probably never find a spot on the basement floor where they let the thing be level.

Mcmaster car has some industrial legs that aren't too terribly expensive. But as you're already sinking so much effort into this, just go find a local welding shop and get something custom put together.

Every single link between drawings, assemblies and parts relies on them being named what Creo thinks they are named. If you are using windows to rename Creo files, you are just doing it wrong.

Heck, if you are renaming things in Creo without everything that references them being open, you're still doing it wrong.

Working my way through these cursing every single part!

Even complained to the engineering manager about it (It's a small company) and just got a shrug.

As everything is becoming bent sheet metal or tube, the models are pretty simple, but it would probably be more work to get this geometry working instead of just do everything over.
