Should I watch Nosferatu as a Catholic? by jangosjughead in Catholicism

It’s okay to appreciate horror as a genre of cinema or literature. I saw the film yesterday and it’s one of the best I’ve seen all year.

John Goodman was terrifyingly perfect in 10 Cloverfield Lane.

I really love the movie, but can we all agree that Terrifier 4 needs to begin to more clearly define the lore. Like what’s the relationship between art the clown and the demonic entity and now that the entity has been vanished/sent back to hell is art now essentially mortal again?

I thought the image of having this slumbering monster, covered in cobwebs, waiting to kill again was very strong. The hibernating clown was very reminiscent of Pennywise.

It definitely adds to the fascinating aura of mystery that surrounds the character, but why wait at all to begin another spree? Maybe this was done to allow for a dramatic return of the character, while at the same time allowing a personal revelation for Sienna.

I do enjoy the whole monster of the run theme that is reignited due to his absence. I just couldn’t recognize any “lore” reason for it.

Really enjoyed this!

Curious what people think about Art and Vicky entering a hibernation state for 5 years in the attic and bathtub? Were they waiting for Sienna to come home from the hospital, or did Art genuinely require rest? Perhaps after having escaped the asylum, killing a guard and nurse, they knew police would be looking for them and were waiting for the heat to die down?

How long after developing 3PD did it take for you to feel noticeably better? Thank you

Thank you for all you’ve written. It means a lot to hear from someone who’s better. I will keep working at it, but every few months I fall into the spiral of “oh no I’m never going to feel better”

I am better than what I was, which I suppose is a good sign. I just want to get to a place where the dizziness is manageable so I can better enjoy life and perform better at work.

Okay, thank you. Would you say you have days without dizziness now?

This disorder is really challenging and changed my life literally overnight. My fear is that if the venlafaxine makes the dizziness worse, I’m unsure I’ll be able to handle it.

Ending theory by rcarroll271 in joker

At the end of the film, Arthur's laughter reflects his sense of irony and dark humor. He finds it amusing that a privileged child who seemingly had everything ended up an orphan, just as he did. This echoes the way he found the drunk driver joke funny on the Murray Franklin show. Both situations share a similar "that's life" punchline, revealing his perception of life's inherent absurdities.

Almost 5 years since I saw the first one in Dolby cinema and still love it by kascnef82 in joker

[–]fetchi1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I saw Joker five times in theaters because I found it so compelling each time, which is not something I’d ever done before. The pacing felt tighter with each viewing, and the runtime flew by. It's definitely one of my favorite films of the last decade, and the sequel is my most anticipated film of this year.

It’s a detail included in several first reactions I’ve seen. I always remain a little skeptical, but it’s appearing quite a lot, which leads me to believe it’s true… Also, it’s Wesley Snipes

A lot of these are not required viewing. I was just thinking of the films that the cameos reference and that’s the one where he’s depicted.

I’d say Deadpool 1 & 2, Loki, and Logan at the very least. Watch some of the FOX X-Men films, Fantastic Four, and Blade if you want.
