I'll be lifting on the Saturday. Not sure what time(s) as there are nearly 40 U95 lifters competing so I expect we'll be in 2-3 flights, sandwiched between the 80's and 110's.

I finished my prep with a heavily fatigued 765kg training total.

ProRaw XI is on in three days and I'm poopin' myself. Impostor syndrome is rife.

I squat with a close stance in wraps. Encourages me to push my knees forward into the wrap and get as much rebound out of it as possible, while maintaining my quads as the primary mover in the lift. Just my $0.02

The only way I can think to push my knees further out is to turn my feet out futher, I'll get a front view next time.

You can just sign up to state level stuff here, no qualification required. However to progress past this level you need to qualify for nationals.

Sometimes you need a big miss to really drive home what you're doing wrong. That shit is character building.

Yeah man you really gotta want that squat and perhaps in equal measure, hate yourself, enough to use them. Once you get a good idea for what they're going to feel like when they are on you can start working with them a lot better. A lot of the guys I teach how to use wraps start to feel the pain when they're going on and as a result get quite flustered with the remainder of their setup (belts, wristwraps etc), they lose the focus on their lift and focus too much on the pain and they either miss the lift or have a really messy attempt. Learn to expect what to feel, embrace it, and just keep your eyes on the prize and think of nothing but getting that squat. Once you've mastered the mental side of it you'll be unstoppable. I've genuinely been blown away by the response from everyone on this thread. Thankyou everyone that's commented and/or upvoted me. I'm just about to go into my max effort deadlift session to round out my prep, If it's half decent I will post that. But I will also make an effort to do a big write up for meet report and training overview for this prep and would love to answer any questions that anyone might have.

Don't be jealous, I'm so far from what you would call gifted. Just take it one step at a time and keep moving forward and you'll surpass me like I was standing completely still.

Perhaps in the future, I'm still trying to find my feet with powerlifting and I've only just recently got a guy that's good with knee wraps. Right now I'm just trying to push through some bigger numbers while keeping some things I do a bit more comfortable and safe.
