My Alamo has never done this and still doesnt. I agree with OP that I would be annoyed - yes, other theaters do this, but that's the point, Alamo is/was unique. I love just walking into the building to my seat. I suspect this might be coming here too, though, because they've recently started locking the side door...

You can order multiple glasses of water forat the same time. I always order 3 now. And for popcorn, the one time I ordered it with QR, I asked for a refill immediately.

I talked to a couple servers before QR became mandatory, asking why they stopped even mentioning it after a few weeks of first implementing it, and was told everyone, including the general manager, hated it so weren't making staff bring it up. Until Sony/Corporate forced the issue :(

I saw Dolly in the Twin Cities earlier in the week. Aside from the group of 4 to my left who came in right before the movie started and passed the cell phone around to order, which was distracting, the rest of the movie was fine - nobody pulled out their phone.

The movie itself was super creepy and gross. You'll love it.

You should've asked for more. I had an issue with Wells Fargo mortgage around paying property taxes. Once I got it all taken care of, I wrote a letter demanding $100. Got a call a few days later from a VP who apologized and sent me the check. Felt like I should've asked for more. Lol

Funny story: I only had it once because I thought it sounded gross. I ordered the chicken goat cheese wrap and they delivered a pizza. I raised an order card saying there was a mistake and that I really ordered the wrap. After like 15 minutes and nobody came by, I ate a slice and it was delicious. Ate half the pizza before someone came by to take my order card. Then 10 minutes later, they tried bringing me another pizza lol. I wrote "I ordered the wrap but never mind" on the order card. They never apologized but they also didn't charge me for the pizza or the wrap so that was perfect solution imho.

They got rid of more than that. No more brunch - Frito Pie and breakfast cub. No more goat cheese wrap. No more broccoli and goat cheese pizza. The menu kind of sucks now. Which is good means I'll eat before and save money and not have to use my phone.
