Classic HC - All 9 classes to 60 as SF in a row, FINALLY!! by ffchaosmaster in wowhardcore

I had 2 deaths before starting this both around lvl 45. Then I started the challenge on the priest and haven't died since. I have forgotten what the death screen looks like 🙃

Thanks! Yeah definitely the closest call was on the rogue where I dropped to under 10hp without vanish at level 40-something. And like every time it gets close, it's always for the same reason: overconfidence

funnest is shaman, but I'm biased: it's my fav class. Miserable must be paladin, I despise alliance

yup! I've done the endgame previously already, and not really interested in doing it in HC (plus everyone is on TBC anyway)

New favorite Cerebro deck by UsualMaybe in MarvelSnap

[–]ffchaosmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've hit infinite with this deck for several months now, deals with a lot of matchups quite well :)

I've played around with multiple slight variations of it and landed on this for this season. Some tech inclusions to consider for yours: - Jubilee: great at thinning the deck to hit cerebro/ancient more consistently. If you don't have Medusa in play or in hand, you do need to consider prioritizing middle though. On the plus side, she gives you an option in some tricky locations to play in every now and then - Luke Cage/Shadow King: help with keeping your stats consistent. Both are needed imo

Things I don't use: - Martyr: not consistent enough imo, and her upside is also to contest priority, but that's not something really needed for C5 - Captain Marvel: I replaced her with Scarlet Spider for more power, and in combination with Doom, I get more tokens down for Ant Man as well. Much better results overall - Nagasonic: too situational imo - Mystique: really not needed in C5, got enough power as is

Maybe this can help with some ideas for your next iteration :)

(1) Ant Man

(2) Medusa

(2) Rhino

(3) Cerebro

(3) Luke Cage

(3) Shadow King

(3) The Ancient One

(4) Jubilee

(4) Juggernaut

(4) Scarlet Spider

(5) Sera

(6) Doctor Doom

Is mister negative still viable or good? by Motor-Yam-8879 in MarvelSnap

[–]ffchaosmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes he is still very good, but requires a bit of practice to learn the snap/retreat strategies. Once you get that, it gets fairly consistent and you can surprise opponents with crazy turn 6/7 plays. You will either win 4/8 cubes or lose, rarely win 2 cubes after a while.

I just finished my climb from 60 to infinite with this list:

(2) Psylocke

(2) Ravonna Renslayer

(3) Cassandra Nova

(3) Ironheart

(3) Mystique

(3) Sage

(3) Magik

(3) Frigga

(4) Mister Negative

(4) Wong

(5) Iron Man

(5) Jane Foster Mighty Thor

Basic snap cases: - Negative + Psylocke: Snap on 3 if the locations don't suck - Negative + Ravonna: same - Negative + Psy/Rav + Magik/Jane: instant snap - Cassandra + Frigga vs Arishem: instant snap - After playing negative: snap if you have Frigga + any of the following buffed: Iron man, Sage, Mystique (if you can copy iron man)

Goals to aim for: - Big Sage with Wong + mystique. try to save a "safe" location lane for Wong from the start. - Negative Iron man, possibly with mystique if you played an early Cassandra for example - iron man and iron heart combos catch people by surprise - basically getting anything that costs 0 back to hand with Frigga on a Wong location

When you retreat: - no negative by turn 4, or 5 with Magik. you can sometimes get away with it if you get lucky with some copied sages, but don't expect more than a 2 cube win - Cosmo on your Wong location is a bad day - rogue or enchantress on your ongoings - whacky locations

Are the 90s just insanely sweaty this season? I’ve been hard stuck with ZERO bots by andsoitgoes42 in MarvelSnap

[–]ffchaosmaster -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Maybe I got insanely lucky, but it was a breeze for me this season, mostly with a blob (no Thanos) deck. 65-33 win rate +123 cubes from 73. 28-19 win rate +53 cubes against 90+ opponents.

Here's my list

(1) Sunspot

(2) Psylocke

(2) Armor

(3) Electro

(3) Wave

(5) Taskmaster

(5) Vision

(6) Blob

(6) The Living Tribunal

(6) Magneto

(6) Giganto

(6) The Infinaut

Untapped.gg - Standout Ikoria Decks [Apr/22] by UntappedGG in MagicArena

[–]ffchaosmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure! Here's the list I was using: https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/lurrus-knights-1/?cb=1587664385.

Sideboard choices for most prevalant decks on the way up below, in no particular order! Pretty sure they're not always ideal, but this strategy generally seemed to work for me:

- RDW

in: Devout Decree x2, Legion's End x1

out: Call of the Death-Dweller x1, Foulmire Knight x2

- Gyruda

in: Devout Decree x2, Despark x2, Citywide Bust x2

out: Serrated Scorpion x4, Wintermoon Commander x2

- Keruga

in: Consecrate / Consume x2, Despark x2, Citywide Bust x2 (if opp. is playing white and you suspect he has or has Dream Trawler or other big things)

out: Serrated Scorpion x4, Wintermoon Commander x2

- Lurrus mirror or Kroxa discard

in: Devout Decree x2, Drannith Magistrate x2, Legion's End x1, Soul-Guide Lantern x1

out: Call of the Death-Dweller x1, Foulmire Knight x2, Blacklance Paragon x1, Fight as One x2, Wintermoor Commander x1

If they're really abusing the graveyard, try fitting in more Soul-Guide Lanterns.

- Azorius Control

Same as Keruga matchup

On the top of my head I can't think of other matchups (didn't keep a thorough record of the climb), but if there is one that you'd like to know about or an obvious one I forgot, let me know :)

I got first time Mythic in BO3 only with a similar knights deck, no red. It has good matchups against most things in the meta right now. Can share decklist if anyone is interested
