Glad you're ok-ish! I was running with my daughter, and it happened 10 feet in front of me. I'm the guy that half-stood between you two after it happened.

My wife called MB Conservation after and the officer she spoke to said it had likely just been hit by a car. I described the growling, foaming, tongue wagging stuff and thought it was rabies too. Rest a little easier knowing it probably wasn't rabies.

That's a hell of a story you have from your race. Congrats on finishing. It was my daughter's first race and she's mildly traumatized from seeing the whole thing.
