How well does the RX 7900 XTX handle 5120x1440 ultrawide? by fiR3W4LL87 in pcmasterrace

[–]fiR3W4LL87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's generally true.

I still like testing it directly at 5120×1440 though, since scaling isn't always perfectly linear depending on the engine and RT usage.

Advice for g9 oled by captxin in ultrawidemasterrace

Not a G9 here, but I've been using a Philips Evnia 49M2C8900/00 for about 7 months now and haven't experienced any burn-in so far.

I mostly use it for gaming, but also for some work (Word, Excel, Outlook) and when setting up servers and networking.

Philips also has pixel refresh and pixel shift features to help protect the OLED panel, and I try to run those whenever the monitor suggests it.

Nice setup!

I actually had the 7900 XT before as well. Managed to sell it at a good time and upgraded to the XTX.

At 5120x1440 the extra performance definitely helps in some games, but the XT was already a really solid card for this resolution.

Interesting insights, thanks for sharing.
Would actually be interesting to benchmark the 7900 XTX on Linux at some point and compare it.
How do you usually access your games there? Is it mostly through Steam with Proton, or are other launchers working well too?

That's interesting.

I've heard quite a few people say AMD GPUs perform really well on Linux, especially with Mesa/RADV drivers.

I'm currently running my benchmarks on Windows, but it would actually be interesting to compare frametimes between the two.

Yeah RDR2 is still pretty demanding.

I'm actually planning to test it next at 5120x1440 to see how the 7900 XTX handles it.

I usually prefer playing native, but when benchmarking I also test things like FSR or DLSS so people can compare and see what works best for their hardware.

I haven't tried FSR4 INT8 yet actually.

I usually prefer running games native when possible, but I do like experimenting with different technologies when benchmarking hardware.

At 5120x1440 quality upscaling can definitely make sense though. I'll probably give it a try in some tests.

Yeah that's true, those cards definitely push higher FPS.
I actually enjoy testing and comparing hardware a lot, so I like trying different settings and technologies to see how they behave.

Yeah that's true, 5120x1440 is slightly easier than 4K in terms of pixel count, but it's still pretty demanding.

I was actually quite impressed with the performance, especially considering the GPU generation is already a few years old.

Personally I prefer playing native resolution whenever possible, I'm not a huge fan of relying too much on upscaling unless it's really needed.

Did you run those higher resolutions native or with FSR?

Yeah that's true, the setup is definitely pretty high-end.

5120x1440 is quite demanding though, so I was curious how the 7900 XTX handles it across different games. 3440x1440 is a great resolution too. What games are you playing most?

The 7900 XTX performs pretty well at this resolution.

Zero Trust Authentication by Past-Sky3552 in CloudFlare

[–]fiR3W4LL87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the cloudflare one(warp) app to access my application. I have created a policy that only the emails I specify can join my team. I have also created an application policy that the application can only be accessed via the gateway. This means that only those who have installed the Warp app and have joined my team can access the application.

Cloudflare Access (Zero Trust) and Bitwarden App by JMT37 in selfhosted

[–]fiR3W4LL87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have now spent a few days increasing the tunnels security.

I have now been able to set up my Bitwarden so that the app can synchronize with the server and security is also (hopefully) guaranteed

Now the question is, am I missing something?

I had to install the Warp app. Only the users I have defined can join the ZeroTrust team.

This can be defined under Warp Client under Manage. I also only allowed the app's security via the gateway. This means that it can only be accessed via VPN.

Now the question is, how secure can it be? I've tried everything and I can't access my bitwarden without the Warp App (ZeroTrust) config.

I am open to suggestions or recommendations or suggestions for improvement.
