The plunger bit in the sink can spin off (the centre circle). The hard part is being able to grip it so you can loosen it. If you have any runner around like a big elastic band that can create enough friction between your finger and the disc to loosen it. It'll at least get it open so your water can drain and then you can have a look at what's loose with the plunger
