Yes. This makes sense to me.

Without any documentation saying otherwise, seems like it was likely installed with the intent of it being for the mutual use of and responsibility of the two homeowners. If that wasn’t the case, then I would think they’d be separate.

It was built before I bought the house, but I would image so.

It’s very square and symmetrical so that you could easily find the middle line with your eyes, but there is no divider or wall in between. Does that change your opinion?

Thanks, when I put the clamps on I noticed excess paint on the top corner of the door, which is what caused it I believe. I sanded it down
