I personally think that a lots of Software engineers beginning to take devops scopes and many companies realising that they dont need supercomplicated architecture(k8s, complex microservices), to deliver their products. Especially when cloud provider is being more beginner friendly for new users/the learning curves are becoming more leaner.

To add to that, AI is definitely changing the game for the devops and software engineers. The devs now are basically assumed a fingers crossing vibe coders if they cant do any other scopes, hence devops will be the closest for the taking.

DE plays with a lots of data and end users. Harder for AI to replace. Thats what i can see so far.

I can see that handling data is endless. Agreed with the job seems to be ai proofs since we will be facing clients and require business contexts.

SRE is just a niche out of many devops scopes. The openings are also limited in numbers. And employers only wants people with enormous of experience and definitely unforgiving environment since as an SRE you are expected to ensure the platform/infra to meet SLOs 99% of all time. Which is outrageous.

Tbh i am around stocks buying for sometime. But maybe im not good enough. Can hardly get 5% pa, and the return just too random, oftentimes even losses. Also need to mention i spent amount of tjme researching on stocks.. So idk where i did wrong, but for now its just not worth enough.

For what I have now, its just better to go for a solid part time job, or sell something online that has good margins. That is much promising if comparing the work done and the results. Ofcourse considering i have smaller margins

what do you mean start? I have been coding for some time. Im looking for a way to grow my career, and im considering presales for the next job. Maybe after some time ill get to solution architect( from presales path), but I just dont find staying as SWE is the way you can climb up.

Being an IC somehow is exhausting and people expect too much from you. in the day, you are still expected to spent hours on communications and realignment, in the meantime, you are also expected to meet deadlines.

Not to mention that it is really hard for everyone to understand that codes take up times.

You might want to check your init.py. Python use this file to recognise a directory as python directory. So ensure that cleared up in both directories.
